The Red and Blue Design Hotel is a modern, clean and comfortable hotel on Holochkova Street in Prague. It is about a 15-minute walk to get across the Charles Bridge into the old town but if you're not up for that, don't worry...there is a tram stop at the bottom of the hill about 3 minutes walk away and those babies will take you wherever you want to go.

It is reasonably-priced for a four star hotel and the staff are quite charming. The atmosphere is not great in the bar but that's because most folk are just getting a warming dram of something before setting off to experience Prague. We had a room on the top floor, comfortable beds, modern safe, decent wardrobe and a good shower. We looked out onto a town park where Czech citizens walked their dogs.

Breakfast is OK, not world-beating but the chef knows how to keep scrambled eggs moist and they will call you a cab that is cheaper than the one you get back to the hotel from town. The staff speak decent English and the free wi-fi is good enough for most purposes.

Also, although some folk prefer the convenience of a hotel a bit closer to town, the Red and Blue is lovely and QUIET at night!

My wife and I visited Prague for the first time and I doubt if the whole experience could have been better. This hotel is superb, in a nice quiet location but only about 20 minutes to half an hour walk from most things you want to see. The hotel is clean, the staff could not be any more helpful, they're great, breakfast choice was very good and of a very good standard. They don't do evening meals, but this is no problem at all as Prague literally has hundreds of eating places. The little bar/lounge area was comfortable and allows you to relax with a drink if needed upon getting back to the hotel.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Prague, it was perfect. Whilst my wife and I virtually walked everywhere, there's trams and buses available to use within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I can't express enough how pleased we were to stay here and will stay here again if/when we return to Prague.

We booked this Hotel for a few days break through and as recommended by Travel Interaction, a great choice. The greeting upon arrival at the Hotel front desk was very friendly and welcoming, The Room was super, the bathroom spotless and modern and the position of the Hotel meant we could within five minutes be on a Tram or eat really well in a number of Restaurants within the streets in the locality. Prague is a lovely City and whilst this was a cold but very bright March we were able to see the sights and join the locals in the many lively bars and Restaurants.
Great Hotel and Great City.
