Wonderful weekend had by the whole family, the hut was made and fitted out to a high standard, Matt and family were so friendly and accommodating, lots to do nearby, pretty sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later!!
We were pleasantly surprised with d great time we had on our holiday in d Traditional Shepherds Hut in Monk Soham. The shepherd's hut had what we needed. We had our own little compound on this large land, barbecue and all. Matt and family were good hosts. We got to feed d goats with them. We were also able to enjoy Southwold Beach, Framingham Castle, enjoyed a good Sunday Service at Framlingham St Michaels all within few minutes drive. We visited Ipswich Town some 17 miles away. Good time had by all.
Lovely stay, couldn't have asked for anything better. Away from the noise and bustle of the city, this was perfect. The owner was very accommodating and helpful, (The little ones were too!) willing to answer any questions we might have had. kids had a great time feeding the goats and running around the open space outside the hut.
The Hut has everything you could need, its been done just right, with the mod cons you might like, it is compact as you would expect, but without ever feeling like everything has been squeezed in, you still have all the space that you need - it has been done just right.
Nearby has lots to do, Framligham castle, National trust locations, Jimmys Farm, Southwold Pier and beach. All are no more than 40 mins away, (Or in the case of Framlingham, 10 mins, and well worth the visit!).
Or you can just enjoy the peacefulness of the site, so, so quiet there, and at night you can just sit and gaze at the stars, with no ambient light to blot them out, it was great to see them all.
It was just what we needed, and would definitely recommend this to everyone, and I may come back without kids, just to enjoy it for myself!
