“Great base for exploring Sierra de Grazalema”
Reviewed 9 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Villa la Roca is an amazing place! Set into a rock, the property is really well equipped and set out, with great views from the terrace whilst enjoying a bottle of local wine from the deli at the bottom of the village. The owner, David, is really helpful, suggesting ideas for exploring the region on our motorbikes, and the village itself is a very friendly and lively place. We are making plans to visit again!

“Lovely Villa in a Quiet Corner of Adalucia”
Reviewed 3 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Unusual residence built into a rockface overlooking the white village of Montecorto, near Ronda. Very spacious, and tastefully presented. David really helpful.

“David is a very friendly and helpful host with an lovely, exceptional place!”
Reviewed 13 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Villa Rocca is indeed outstanding in its architecture and offers lots of airy space and nice views of the scenery. It is an excellent choice to spend relaxing days in a mellow little, laid-back white village. Ronda and lots of others places are close by for daily visits. And coming back to wicked Villa Rocca and its splendid views always feels like home far away from home.

David is a very friendlly and very helpful host. He really takes care of his guests and has loads of good tips for visits and day trips.

This place is highly recommendable!

“Comfort, picturesque, village location”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

David is the perfect host meeting us at the villa on our arrival after a wet motorcycle ride.
He showed us around the villa, pointing out where everything was located but also spent time to give us help with visits to local attractions.
The villa is at the top of the village of Montecorto with woods at the rear of the property, this is a very popular area for walkers and we also walked a little way into the wooded area but we were not equipped for a full exploration of the area.
The villagers were also very friendly, our Spanish language is about non-existant but between ourselves we managed to make ourselves understood and we were greeted by everyone who we passed when shopping or eating at the local restaurant. Juan and his staff at the 'EL TROPEZON' were great hosts.
About the villa, very spacious, clean with all amenities for a comfortable holiday, kitchen well equipped, plentiful library, comfortable bed, towels and linen provided, swimming pool, 2 terraces with outdoor furniture.
Rock formation within the villa makes for an unusual layout but still very spacious.
Enjoyed our stay, in easy reach of lots of attractions, Ronda, other white villages,Zahara lake, Alhambra palace at Granada also plentiful supply of restaurants not too far away.
Great holiday, great location, great host, thanks David.

“Comfort, relaxation and amazing views”
Reviewed 10 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

My family of 4 (husband and I, grandma and 6-year old son) stayed at this beautiful property in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda region. We came here as my husband is an avid road cyclist and we needed a central place to stay with access to some of the best roads for cycling in Europe. Villa La Roca in the small village of Montecorto, was the perfect spot. It's central, very close to Ronda, and a wonderful town in itself.
The house was everything we had hoped for: architecturally stunning, warm, comfortable and big enough. It also has gorgeous outdoor grounds, and a wonderful pool. While the water was cold, we still used it a bit (we are from Canada after all :) and spent many sunny afternoons lounging around it.
David, the villa's owner, made all the difference: he was always very responsive, informative, kind and helpful, and made us feel right at home.
We are already dreaming of going back!!
