We were walking around on this chilly, rainy afternoon waiting for the restaurants to open for dinner, when we came upon La Quinta, which surprisingly is open all day long. This is much more than a “bar”. There’s a variety of tapas at 1€ - 3€, sandwiches, and three course meals of the day for 8,50€. The menu is also in English and Adriana speaks it as well. If you’re looking for a romantic place with ambiance, this isn’t it; but if you’re looking for good food at very reasonable prices, you won’t be disappointed.

Thank Anne K

We found this place down a side street by chance, mainly local families in there, and chose the menu del dia; it was amazing value, three courses each with bread and wine for 8.5 euros. I had asparagus soup to start, very tasty, followed by a delicious beef stew, vegetables & chips and crime caramel. The service was quick and friendly.

After a fairly long day on the train I was ready for some food and entertainment. The entertainment started immediately upon entering this establishment, in the form of a group of local old-timers loudly debating everything from politics to sport. With a hilarious sense of humour, honest friendship, and mutual respect. Had some wine and a couple of excellent tapas, followed by a plate of the local speciality, braised oxtail. (Rabo de Toro). It was all good. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of tapas, sandwiches, salads, mains (both meat and seafood), and a menu del dia (E8.50). The clientele, except for yours truly, was exclusively local, but I felt totally welcomed. The service is friendly and casual, and items ordered are brought promptly. Easy to find, less than a block from the pedestrian street, Carrer Espinel, at Calle de la Cruz Verde 20. Expect to pay between 12/15 euro per person for menu del dia, or a few tapas, including beer or wine, tax and tip. Add up to 10 Euros for a main a la carte item.

Here you Will have well cooked meals with enough booth of vegetables and meat for a reasonable price. I did eat today’s menu for a whole week. Perfect if you hungry after a day on bike or feet in the mountains.
