If you like a rustic room with white stonewalls and no decoration in a place located at the end of a road winding down around 100 meters you will like this. Horcajo is as authentic it can be (with aircon and hot water though) and the location is very fine. You have great walking routes within the area of the farm/hotel and easy access to the rest of the Agrazelama natural park. No Internet but good mobile coverage. Swimming pool is of good size and great standard. But don't go here for the gourmet food experience. Food is rather expensive related to the quality you get. We tried the close by hotel Cortijo Salinas having excellent food and Michelin-like service at fair prices and for lunch the bar at the busstop (Bar de la paradas) at top of the close by town of Montecorto had the most excellent tapas (large ones too) at very low prices. We will visit these places again with friends later this year.

Room was very clean with comfortable bedsheets and blankets. Service from all of the staff - very friendly and welcoming, and fun!
Food - is perfect for the location. Fresh bread, cheeses, juice, etc. If you want to eat "like back home" please stay there...
Price and value cant be beat and you will avoid the tourist traps in Ronda.

As others have said,...this is a rustic hotel, but not a problem as long as that is what you're expecting and happy with. The only thing that the rooms really should have is a small fridge, so you can keep a drink cold.

But, we had a great stay. The pool is really nice.

Warning though - the food was not great so you may want to plan other arrangements. The breakfast was edible but very basic. We chanced dinner one night and it was very poor. I had a spicy pork and chips meal which was grey and tasteless. The kids had pasta and tomato sauce which was only slightly better than you would get from a tin.

The Hotel El Horcajo is in the heart of the Pueblos Blancos, in an ideal location for visiting the surrounding towns. The hotel is deep in a beautiful valley, surrounded by hillside meadows dotted with sheep, goats, and cows. The driveway is long, winding, and steep, and not particularly well maintained, but in keeping with the rustic character of the hotel itself. Birds abound, especially swallows, many of which nest in doorways and other crannies of the hotel's courtyard and put on an aerobatics show of most of the day.
The hotel is an old stone-walled, tile-roofed building. Some of the furnishings in the common areas are worn, but the rooms are spacious and very clean and well appointed. The bathrooms are very comfortable, the showers hot. Views from the windows are beautiful. We stayed in the central, two-story part of the building, and there are also a dozen or so rooms opening onto the hotel's courtyard.
The hotel's management style was casual and friendly. The staff was eager to provide anything requested, and though they kept track, they were not always asking for signatures. The buffet-style breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, though we were not impressed with the dinners (and dined elsewhere in the evenings).
We loved the Pueblos Blancos region, and enjoyed our stay at El Horcajo greatly.
