“Lovely family cottage”
Reviewed 14 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a lovely week in this cottage that has the feel of a well-loved family holiday home. The location is wonderful. Walks from the cottage are amazing. Just sitting inside with the log fire burning looking out at the sea is pretty good too.

Thanks Rowland and I'm so glad you had a good time. Sitting with the log fire burning looking at the sea is my favourite occupation too. Do come back soon!

“Relaxing step back in time with beautiful views thrown in :)”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We visited Foss cottage after staying in a nearby smaller cottage over many years so we knew what to expect from East Prawle and the fantastic views over the Channel and were not disappointed. A truly lovely place to relax, unwind and get away from the rat race. If you cant enjoy yourself without Wifi, TV, radio or phone signals, then this is probably not the place for you, but if you are happy to read, walk, watch the boats go by and listen to LPs ranging from jazz, swing, classical, 1950s, 1960s , 1970s compilations etc, you will love it . Wifi available in the Pigs Nose Inn in the village (beware - only take cash or cheques - no card payments - we had to do a quick whip round and work out what we could afford to eat/drink on the cash we had ;-) ) and phone signal on the village green if you are desperate to check your messages. Great places to visit nearby - Gara Rock, Mill Bay, Salcombe, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Burgh Island, Torcross .... or just stay put and enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful scenery and surroundings.

Liked best: the view , great shower room, fab books and records , beds very comfy,
Liked least: radio signal would have been nice ; takes a while to get to places due to narrow/windy lanes but to be expected in Devon

“A fantastic place for every age”
Reviewed 15 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We've just spent a wonderful sunny Easter here with 4 adults and 4 children. The great thing about this place is there is something to suit everyone. The teenagers were happy wandering up the quiet lane to the village to play on the green or hang out in the garden. The cottage has the most amazing views over the fields to the sea and is very peaceful at the end of a row of cottages so private yet not isolated. I have been staying here since I was a child and now bring my teenage children here. I love it as much as ever - and the best thing is that they love it as much as me!

“Wonderful holiday in a very special cottage”
Reviewed 22 March 2015 for a stay in August 2013

I stayed here with small children and it was the perfect place for an easy holiday. Wonderful beaches all around, and also a cottage with space inside and out where we could relax and sunbathe while the children played happily. There is an orchard with swing and trampoline plus a slightly bumpy sloping place for family football. I'd like to come back to do some serious walking one day!

“Foss cottage - the perfect escape to the coast”

This is such a fantastic place. At the end of a row of cottages, just off the coastal path with fabulous views, comfortable rooms and a great sitting room and kitchen - perfect for relaxing in while dodging those occasional showers. We had a great holiday here, walking the cliff paths, swimming off gorgeous little beaches and visiting the local pubs. The beds are really comfortable, the bathroom fabulous with a skylight that pours in the sunshine and we cooked up culinary feasts in the very well equipped kitchen. It's the perfect place to escape to.
