Good service, clean room and spa. Breakfast was great (enough choices for everyone: gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and ofcourse bacon, beans, sausages, meatballs and eggs). Hotel does have free parking and bus-stop infront of the hotel (15 minutes busride from hotel to downtown Hämeenlinna). Hotel restaurant was closed when we visited, so we took bus downtown and had dinner there. We visited in slow season so hotel was very peaceful - we had the spa for ourselves for couple of hours. Outdoorpool was magical in February.

Spent a weekend night here. The hotel is quite old, and that can easily been noted, some upgrading wouldn't hurt.

The room was OK and clean, no complaints there. There was an incident with a fire alarm at 11 p.m. though, and what was not OK was that the personnel didn't give any instructions regarding what to do, the only reaction was that after it was over a message was sent through the TV in the room, stating that it was a false alarm.

We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and I have to say the food was below expectations, all the food tasted like it would come from a can, via a microwave oven. Service was efficient and friendly though.

Breakfast was quite OK, no complaints there.

Rooms badly outdatet, should be updated to this day asap. Even suite was cleaned poorly, chips on the floors etc. Spa was ok. Breakfast was below average. Location and enviroment was great. Not going again until hotel is updated.

We stayed at this hotel with my wife on 31.12.2020-01.01.2020. The buffet for New Year’s Eve was great . The limited opening hours for spa, bowling and the bar was a bit sad, but understandable because of the COVID-19 situation. I have visited this hotel in 2004 and the rooms looks exactly the same as then (except the small flat screen TV in the room). We didn’t mind, but the rooms definitely could be updated to 2020’s already. The spa and breakfast was included to the price of the room which was nice . There’s a lot of activities available nearby the hotel. If you will not spend most of the time in your hotel room, this is your choice at Hämeenlinna.
