“One of the few properties which looks even better than the photos!”
Reviewed 13 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Stayed for a few days of respite after New Year and it was exactly what we needed! The house is beautifully finished with lots of thoughtful extras such as the ice cream maker and dressing gowns for the hot tub. We felt very comfortable staying here and enjoyed the nights sitting beside the log fire. The weather was pretty bad when we visited so we spent much of the time indoors (which wasn't a problem!) but there are so many things to do outdoors in the surrounding countryside. It was also nice being personally greeted by Angela when we arrived - she was very helpful and efficient throughout the whole process ..thanks!

We're looking forward to having a few days off so we can return!

“Verging on 6 star!”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Many places claim to be 5 star - and aren't. This went way beyond our expectations. Stayed with friends over New Year and can recommend celebrating at midnight in the Jacuzzi! Everything you need is catered for in comfortable and luxury surroundings. Can't recommend it highly enough.

“What can you say......”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We have just returned from a New Years stay at Croftgarrow, probably the best appointed self catering lodge we have ever stayed in.
I can only repeat what others have said, the whole place was of a very high quality, the main room is huge with plenty of space.
The log fire is amazing especially after a late night jacuzzi.
I am sure that we will return.

“Rural location, high spec property”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We can highly recommend this house for a rural retreat and a get away from it all location. We stayed for 5 nights over Christmas 2013. We experienced high winds on arrival and Sky tv had lost signal which took 24 hours to sort, an electrician came to fix on Christmas eve. Everything about the house was lovely, underfloor heating, hot tub, log fire in the middle of the open plan living area, high spec appliances etc, all lovely. Lovely fluffy towels, bath robes and cotton linen for bed. There was a leaking gutter above the bedroom window which we have informed the manager about. We would use this house again in the summer months for a possible walking holiday. Highly recommended.

“A little bit of Heaven”
Reviewed 25 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Our week at Croftgarrow flew by. The cottage itself gives you every comfort you could think of and some you haven't considered.

There is a wealth of activities to do in the surrounding area, which gives you plenty of choices, come rain or shine.

Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread on our first morning gave us our first struggle to actually get up and tear ourselves away from the cottage.

When we did get out over the following days it was great that after taking some long walks, it was wonderful to return to the warmth of the cottage and relax around the fire to either watch the scenery outside or sit and read.

Sad as it may seem, having Internet access allowed us to do a little work whilst there, without it becoming intrusive on our break.

Selfishly I wouldn't want to tell anyone else about Croftgarrow so we could keep it our secret hideaway, however that would also mean denying people the opportunity to experience this little bit of Heaven.
