Getting there with some steep stairs the falls are nice but nothing that special. Since we visited in summer assuming in winter with rain the falls are more spectacular. Liked the views towards the blue mountains valley

We walked down the 900 steps beside Katoomba falls and saw some amazing views, we returned to the cliff top using the scenic world railway as the steps were very steep.

Nice hike down to Katoomba Falls - be sure to bring water! Steep stairs most of the way but as you get close and it levels out be sure to watch to your right for wild salmon created cockatoos drinking from the run offs. We saw flicks of them - great photo op when they fly across the falls. It’s a long hike down and we chose to ride the Venicular back to the top- signage not that great about the train but it’s definitely doable. Line up , load and pay when you get off at the top unless you paid to come down!

The Katoomba falls are feed by an under river not like other you will not find a river or crick to walk by side.
This is the reason they are never dry hot or not
The best view is from passing by on the skyway.
Also by the cliff walk.
