What a fabulous stay at Garlieston in Scotland. Such a beautiful setting with fabulous scenery , beaches both on your doorstep and a drive away. Suitable for all the family . Relaxing and a great place to recharge your batteries. Lovely unspoilt places to visit from the deers and walks the friendly nearby places of Port William, and Port Patrick and the great fun at Cream of Gallaway.
A friendly local pub with lovely safe beer garden for those with small children.
The house itself was everything we needed, all modern amenities dishes washer etc. Lovely touch with having fresh milk, bread and short bread biscuits was just what we needed when we arrived. Would definitely reccommed and will be visiting again
What a truly beautiful place Garlieston is.
My stay in Claddagh was more than expected.
This is a very well equipped holiday home, full of extra's.
In every respect it exceeded expectations;
Lovely cotton linen on the beds;
Cling film, foil,washing up liquid, cleaning materials,
Bread, jam milk on arrival.
Play station and Dvd's on separate floor for the kids, whilst we enjoyed Our separate space downstairs.
We will be back - Thank you.
A fantastic modern and spacious house. Excellent flexible living and sleeping accommodation ideal for couples and larger families alike. Everything you could possibly need to entertain or be entertained. Garlieston is a wonderful relaxing location with great walks around the bay. A place where you can relax and get away from it all. There are good places to eat and drink in Garlieston and the surrounding villages and towns. Highly recommended
An excellent holiday stay. Absolutely superb in every detail. No one could want any better And that is just the accommodation! The owner has thought about everything to make a perfect stay in Garlieston.
The village and area around are also great. Plenty to see and do within a few miles. We visited castles, priories and holy cairns. The Port Logan fishing hole etc are a good place too. We needed more time to do all there was to do.
The beaches are plentiful and quiet which we loved. The harbour area itself is enjoyable too. The coastal walks are fantastic. Only last Friday we were in butterfly heaven there, seeing dozens and dozens of them and a number of different species too.
We think there must be a little microclimate in Garlieston as each day, according to the weather report, it should have rained and rained, but it didn't!
So, to sum up the cottage and destination..." A little bit of heaven right here on earth"
I bet you agree if you try it!
Would definitely recommend Cladach.
