First of all Montenegro is a lovely country, where we found that wonderful blue skies and spectacular views abound. This was a first ever visit and proved to be a wise one. The town of Herceg Novi is interesting, especially the Old City, which was no more than 5 mins walk from this lovely apartment. The views from the balcony towards the sea are good if a liltle limited, but a brisk walk down the steps to the promenade bring you to a lovely waterfront and some good walks. Negative side is you have to go up the stairs to get back again!
Overll this is an excellent hideaway, situated amongst ordionary people going about their daily lives, and amidst their homes as well as other holiday lets. It is quiet, well located, has a Minimarket just 30 metres away, and reasonably accessible parking close by.
The accommodation is clean, very well kept and furnished to a good comfortable standard - just what you want for a quiet enjoyable time to relax. The owner lives on site, but does not intrude yet is on hand to solve any little isues.
We found a hire car to be of great use, but not an essentail, unless you really want to get off the beaten tracks and explore the mountains and lakes. A day trip into Croatia and a visit to the ancient centre of Dubrovnik, whilst lovely, reminds you just how commercilaised some places can be.
We would trongly reccomend te country, the town and the apartment.
