“Perfect base for touring around Nelson area”

The accommodation was excellent, although no kitchen available there was a fridge and tea making facilities. Also a coffee maker and microwave. There was access to a large bbq so if you wanted to prepare your own food you could but it is also in walking distance of a couple of places to eat. There is also a pool for your exclusive use which was a great bonus. There is nice little touches like a TV in both sitting and bed room areas and a Bluetooth system to play your own music. The welcoming free bottle of wine was a lovely touch.
the accommodation is in easy travelling distance of the Golden Bay area among others. All in all this is a great base for three to four days to come and go as you please.

“This place is special”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed in many different places in New Zealand over the course of 3.5 weeks and this was top of the list for many reasons but especially because it is so unique. The suite is also spacious, comfortable, stylish, exceptionally clean, peaceful, private and with good facilities including a very decent size swimming pool. Shower is fantastic. Parking is on the road and easy (you do really need a car). It is also exceptionally good value. I don't know if this is because it is off the beaten track in a residential area in Stoke (about 9kms from Nelson). Martine is a lovely host. McCashins Restaurant and Brewery is a three minute walk away - great food, beer and wine with good service thrown in. All at a reasonable price.

Martine was a lovely host. The free bottle of wine was a very good one. Extremely stylish accommodation. Easy parking. Total privacy. Large private swimming pool and lovely pool area. Fantastic walk in shower. Large and comfortable bed. 3 minute walk to McCashins which does very decent food. Very peaceful residential area.

“Great One Night Stop”
Reviewed 13 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed at Woodstock Suite on our first night in the South Island. Our flight was late and Martine was kind enough to wait till we arrived on a rainy night. The Suite is spacious with a large comfy bed and huge walk in shower with rain head shower fitting. On a better summers night the outdoor garden and pool would be great to use. The suite had a relaxing lounge and free WIFI. The complimentary bottle of wine, coffee machine and mineral water are also worth a mention.

Close to the airport and Richmond for restaurants - this is an ideal spot to start or finish your holiday or for a dew days if you dont want to prepare any meals. There is fridge, microwave and crockery etc. for basic meal prep or takeaways.

Service from the owners was exceptional. Thanks Martine and Eric.

“Luxury”
Reviewed 4 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Woodstock Suite. Erik was super helpful. Beautiful spot, everything you need is there (including a welcome bottle of wine). Loved the private pool - perfect temperature. Definitely worth a stay.

“A Nelson Gem”
Reviewed 17 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

To start, this is the best AirBnB we've stayed in. Erik greeted us on arrival and couldn't have been warmer and more helpful, taking us around the property and outdoor area to show us where everything is and how it all works.

The welcome pack is fantastic, with useful tips on local restaurants and the area in general. Even better, a kindle sits by the TV with up to date Nelson guides available to plan the stay. The bottle of local wine to greet us topped it off.

The property is designed and decorated beautifully. It's clear that Erik and Martine want guests to feel at home and to have as comfortable a stay as possible. The bathroom area is stunning (especially the imported Mexican sink) and the provided toiletries are wonderful. The bed is extraordinarily comfortable and the wooden floor that runs through the entire place is waxed to an inch of its life.

We had a BBQ in the garden after a dip in the perfectly temperatured pool on our first night. A BBQ set is provided, including all the tools one needs to cook, as well as the required cleaning wipes to follow up. A really nice touch is the box provided to put all dirty crockery and cutlery in, which is then collected from outside and returned clean before the next evening.

Erik and Martine have created a fantastic AirBnB and should be very proud. Be couldn't have asked for more and couldn't recommend this more. Thank you for a lovely stay and we'll definitely be back when next in Nelson.

Highly recommended!
