The Ballarat Wildlife Park has a good range of animals on display in a large area. The enclosures are of a good size for the animals and Kangaroos roam free around the property.

Feeding the Kangaroos will be a highlight for some. Our kids enjoyed that. Look out for park staff walking the Dingo's that you can give a pat,

Well worth spending afew hours taking in the animals and information sessions

My first time here and I loved it! Even though the kangaroos come right up to you, I didn't find them scarey. I didn't offer them food but offered a scratch under the chin, which they loved! Mel gave an excellent talk about the dingos. Overseas tourists were in their element! Wish I had my grandchildren with me - next time?!

Weather was wet and cold the day we went so the animals weren't venturing out for us to see. Not a lot of activity happening. Would be great in much better weather.

Hope to see you again - maybe on a sunny day!

This park is wonderful. Don’t for get to buy some feed for all the kangaroos who run up to you on your walk for a feed. This well set up park is so enjoyable, the meerkats are to die for as are the koala and all of the animals. When visiting ware your old shoes as droppings are everywhere

Thanks for your review and feedback, Therese!
Great to hear you enjoyed your visit and feeding the kangaroos. The meerkats have been settling in to their new home nicely - much to the delight of our visitors :)

We have been taking our kids to Ballarat Wildlife Park for Twenty years - now we are taking the grandchildren. It is the most brilliant day out. When you are there its hard to believe you are still in Ballarat. The keepers are friendly and informative, there is plenty of access to the animals. The cafe is reasonable priced and the serves are generous - though its understaffed during a rush. The grounds are just beautiful and the packets of kangaroo food are still the same price they have been for years. I can't write highly enough of this wildlife park which works hard to save some of our endangered species.
