Lovely park well positioned with plenty of parking and a massive hit for the kids.
I declare my bias, we're regulars with an annual family pass but it's a place the kids are always wanting to go back to.
Staff are friendly and the park offers everything you need to enjoy a nice relaxed day surrounded by an every growing range of animals and reptiles.
Best to avoid during or shortly after lots of rain but otherwise wear some sturdy footwear and you'll enjoy it I'm sure!

The Ballarat Wildlife Park has a good range of animals on display in a large area. The enclosures are of a good size for the animals and Kangaroos roam free around the property.

Feeding the Kangaroos will be a highlight for some. Our kids enjoyed that. Look out for park staff walking the Dingo's that you can give a pat,

Well worth spending afew hours taking in the animals and information sessions

My first time here and I loved it! Even though the kangaroos come right up to you, I didn't find them scarey. I didn't offer them food but offered a scratch under the chin, which they loved! Mel gave an excellent talk about the dingos. Overseas tourists were in their element! Wish I had my grandchildren with me - next time?!

Thank you for the lovely review, Brenda! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit and meeting the kangaroos. They are very gentle-natured roos and do love interacting with our visitors.
Hope to welcome you back again soon with your grandchildren.

Weather was wet and cold the day we went so the animals weren't venturing out for us to see. Not a lot of activity happening. Would be great in much better weather.

This park is wonderful. Don’t for get to buy some feed for all the kangaroos who run up to you on your walk for a feed. This well set up park is so enjoyable, the meerkats are to die for as are the koala and all of the animals. When visiting ware your old shoes as droppings are everywhere

Great to hear you enjoyed your visit and feeding the kangaroos. The meerkats have been settling in to their new home nicely - much to the delight of our visitors :)
