“Stylish oasis near city centre”

Modern individual apartment close to the city centre and the north and south main roads out of the city. Relaxing, well appointed and quiet with lots of light and two lovely court yards either end - and the lovely lemon tree!.

Well equipped with wine glasses and adequate utensils etc to cook a meal. Good beds with crisp linen, very clean and equipped with washing facilities. The apartment is screened from surrounding buildings and there is complete privacy. Apple TV was a bonus and reliable fast wifi - though music on Apple TV could have been a bit more eclectic. Nice touch to have local food and wine available for purchase if we had wanted.

The owners were very willing to assist in forwarding a phone plug left behind and to reimburse an over payment. I would recommend The teahouse to people wanting a stylish and convenient place to stay in Launceston.

“Spacious, light and stylish boutique apartment in convenient location”
Reviewed 1 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We just stayed for 3 nights with our family of 5 and it was ideal. Very clean, spacious and well appointed, and very effective heating conveniently located 100m from City Park.

There is even a lemon tree outside the front door which is perfect for a gin & tonic !

Will definitely stay again.

“Great style and convenience”

We stayed as two couples in the Teahouse for 2 nights. The format is great with a large living/dining space, a complete kitchen and 2 bedrooms (one with ensuite, one with access to a larger bathroom/laundry). We appreciated the quality breakfast - great yoghurt, muesli, fruit compote and fruit toast. Plunger coffee and leaf tea as well. Having just finished the Overland Track, it was good to be able to do washing and dry it without fuss in the courtyard. Previous reviews have criticised the lack of privacy because it is situated in a business area with carparks around it. We didn't find this an issue at all - the main windows are not overlooked and those that are (bathrooms) have frosted glass and are at 90 degrees to the overlook. We were very pleased with the Teahouse and would recommend it.

“Great write up but disappointing”

This place had a great write up but must say a little disappointing. For the price you pay it is way too exposed and lacks the touches that one would expect. Not very private at all car parks front and side and overlooked by other apartments. Lots of Mosquitos with no spray provided. Wine glasses don't match, but worst of all no wine opener. Lack of power points in the master bedroom to plug in the fan. No bin in bathroom or bedroom. I wouldn't recommend this place for the price. Disappointing and style above substance.
