“Cosy cottage with great views”
Reviewed 26 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Welman cottage is situated high above Launceston with sparkling night lights and sweeping views down the river. The cottage is warm and the front lounge/dining/kitchen room is lovely. Peter, the owner met us on time with no fuss. there are some stairs into the property but easy parking out the front. Perfect for a couple.

“delightful, well-equipped cottage,5 minutes from the cbd, with a great view”
Reviewed 2 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We found this property through Stayz. The owner, Peter was very flexible, met us late on a Sunday evening after the long ferry crossing. He had stocked the fridge with basics for breakfast as he realised the shops would be closed when we landed. The house is extremely comfortable and well-equipped. The balcony is a great place to watch the sun go down. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 4 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We spent 5 nights at this wonderful property with our pet. Was greeted upon arrival, and just before departure for catch up on any issue's, which there were none. Old world charm of this area, plus solid timber floors, doors and handles of this Cottage coupled with modern amenities made it a perfect stay. Even the stain glass window's in the master bedroom didn't look out of place. If venturing out, within walking distance is a Supermarket, bottle shop, shopping, Pubs & Club's for great meals. If going further afield, we used taxi's, called and arriving within 3 minutes. If that is not your go, sitting on the verandah admiring the amazing view eating your freshly cooked breakfast, done minute's earlier in the stylish Kitchen might be. Free wireless NBN was great for the mobile devices. Having a shower in the spacious cubicle was no drama, with one of the bigger shower heads I have seen along with great water pressure, which can be an issue & underfloor heating in the bathroom, nice touch. All in all, rates a 10/10 from me. Love to stay again, just hope dosn't get booked out to much.......

“Wished to stay longer...”
Reviewed 30 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

Launceston was the last stop on our Tasmanian holidays, and I must say that accommodation provided by Welman Street Cottage has largely contributed to finish the holiday on high and wishing to stay there much, much longer.
The position is very good, providing the beautiful views from the living room and veranda. It requires some uphill walking on returning from the walks though.
Cottage itself is freshly renovated and fully and tastefully furnished and decorated. it has an open and spacious living, dining and kitchen area. Further, there are 2 nice double bedrooms, both with large beds. All was very clean. Complimentary broadband was included. A house to wish for yourself!
Parking in on street, in restricted area, but parking permit was waiting for us, provided by the owner. We did not move car for 2 days, preferring to walk around.
We will no doubt check Welman Street Cottage availability on our next trip to Launceston.
