Don't go there they cant be bothered to pick up a phone or answer email or text message.

I was snowed in, contacted endeavored to have a conversation, that did not work, texted no reply. I had hoped it could be a good base to work out of on frequent trips, but no that type of service really insults the traveler.

Room Tip: Camp. sleep on a bench do anything but, whats wrong with recognizing acts of god, apparently not in Dubbo

Nothing was clean. Toilet had seat seal on to say it was cleaned, only to open it and find a present left behind. The bed linen wasn't changed from previous guest, the carpet was filthy, the bathroom floor was disgusting and the main light didn't work. We paid the extra $20 for the better bed, what a joke. Friday and Saturday nights you can't sleep because of the doof doof dj garbage going on until 5am. NEVER EVER STAY THERE

Room Tip: No such thing

The bed was comfy. The water in the shower went cold both days, there was no batteries in the remote control. Staff were friendly. It was ok. There is a lift for ease of access to the third floor. good restaurants around the pub.

People were lovely, room was terrible. There was an overwhelming smell of sewerage in the corridors and unfortunately in our room. We had to open the window and turn the aircon on just to lessen the odour. Bathroom smelt worse..not inclined to shower as it look old and grubby...same with the sink. Minimal time spent in this area. Bed was uncomfortable though lovely clean sheets. We used our own pillows. Hot and steamy in the corridors and lift not working. if you like climbing stairs I guess you would be ok. Wish I could write a nice review but i just cant. Not inclined to stay here again. Although priced well for a hotel not worth the money.

Arrived on New Year's Day in 34 degree heat at 6pm after 10 hour drive only to find The Amaroo Hotel, Dubbo completely closed despite a recently confirmed booking.
Despite my call at 4.30pm to a recorded message "we cannot currently take your call and you cannot leave a message", and check on emails, I was not aware of this closure NOR was there any notice on the locked doors as to why or whom to contact!
Booking.com we're fantastic and 2 hours later I was settled into another although more expensive hotel out of town. I have since checked The Amaroo Hotel on booking.com and there is no mention of closures for public holidays...nor special check in hours!
All attempts to contact The Amaroo Hotel since to ask why and seek recompense have been thwarted by staff saying I need to speak to the owner who has been constantly unavailable. I was hoping to have discussed this issue before posting a review. Most other hotels would have resolved and apologised immediately.
All I wanted was a bed, a shower and a meal before another 10 hour drive.
