I'd recommend stopping by the visitor center when you get there to grab a free map of the property. Also, don't miss the indoor gardens here, in the two story building, you will find beautiful flowers and succulents. We did this, followed by the rose garden before walking into the city. A great way to spend the morning!

A stunning place to wonder, enjoy a family picnic or if you have a green finger discover many new breads on plants and to inspire you for your own garden.

Absolutely beautiful setting to attend a concert. A must to experience if you are around in January and February.

The walk through the gardens to the archery lawn is gorgeous and if you are fortunate enough to venture through the fragrant rose garden you won’t be disappointed.

The Curators House is also well worth a visit whist in the gardens ... delicious food and beverages. Can have a light snack or meal.

We are fond of gardens and took the opportunity to visit on a beautiful day. We only walked through a small portion, but were very impressed. The rose gardens were lovely, especially considering the time of year. The enclosed hothouse with all the tropical plants was stunning. It was hard to believe some of the plants and the variety. A must see when in Christchurch.
