We had a wonderful stay at this Christchurch B&B. Resonal price with great breakfat. The house pets chicken and Cat Marmite are lovely.

We both loves garden, so the garden courtyards are lovely. The Olive trees amd Green apple trees are in fruits at the moment.

Love to visit again.

Love this Christchurch Bed and Breakfast that offer a quiet room with no childreans policy. Suited us really, and the breakfast is just very social. The garden is the highlight for us, and the cat and chicken are wondering around the place.

Hosts are lovely, and my sincere thanks to them for hosting us. Will return for sure.

Room Tip: with love our queen size bed with private bathroom.

Never know there a best place in Christchurch until we stayed in. Chet and Steve being so kind and friendly to host us, we stayed in the cottage, immeditely amazed by all the outdoor and indoor design by the host, the countryside rustic feel just make us felt so home and warmy, comfort and cozy enough to start a perfect holiday. We like the long wooden table in breakfast room which we could met with some others guests who stayed together, chat and sharing while having the breakfast. Meanwhile Chet n Steve will recommend us some best place to visit or chill, let us felt like a local more than a tourists.

I have to emphasize the garden which design by the host, it like a small NZ farm whereby we can really enjoys to touch n zero distance with those plants like kiwi or grapes plants. This garden totally satisfy my instagrammer dream, perfect to visit even just photo. (U know, we are from Malaysia, excited for every chance to get touch with the plants which never appear in our country before even just an apple tree)

Perfect location like 10 to 15 minutes to CBD, convenient as easy access to shops, restaurants and supermarket. Not to mention the Cafe Valentino that recommend by Chet, it was superb!

I couldn't ask for more, Chet n Steve being passionate to every guests and all the detail of this place. The service and the stories just make all the things so right I just can't wait to get back once day.

We truly recommend Designer Cottage B&B! U will not dissapointed I can swear!

We arrived in Christchurch late in the day however we were met by Chet initially and then Steve who could not have been more accommodating in welcoming us. We stayed in the cottage which is separate to the main house. We immediately felt at home. Steve was fantastic in the advice he gave on all things Christchurch - where to eat; what to do and so on. We were encouraged to join the other house guests for breakfast the following morning and were so pleased we did. We shared NZ experiences with the other guests and enjoyed the warmth and hospitality offered by Chet and Steve.

What we enjoyed during our 4 day stay at Designer B&B was the ambiance, strolling through its garden spaces, the friendliness and personal service delivered by our hosts. We were not just a room number!

Chet's passion for and understanding of Christchurch and its surrounds is evident. The knowledge he shared with us made this leg of our holiday an experience to remember and one that we will return to.

The location of Designer B&B provides easy access to restaurants, shops, supermarkets and services - all within easy walking distance.

We can highly recommend Cafe Valentino - fine Italian cuisine at its best. This restaurant was recommended by Chet and from our experience, with good reason. It was superb!

To sum up, generally holidays are defined by the sightseeing and things you do. Designer B&B adds another dimension to this. You will experience personal, informative and friendly service, convenience of location, not to mention an ambiance that high-rise hotels struggle to deliver.

Let Chet be your host; you will not be disappointed.

Newly to B&B convept as Airbnb are getting popular. But this Christchurch traditional Bed and breakfast took us to another lever. The house (Cottage) originally own by local designer and also a popular red light district. This made the areas well preserve and a bit rundown. The current designer Chet and Steve and their cute cat makes the place a home, and we truely enjoyed our stay. Many thanks again.

Room Tip: We booked the self contained 2 bedroom cottage. A bit more but great pravacy.
