As we were in Wellington the weekend of my birthday we went to Olive to celebrate. We chose it because it has a good gluten free range which is essential for me. We shared the starter.. octopus.... and it was really tasty. Then we both had the lamb rump. As the lights were so low we couldn't see our meals very well. Some of my lamb was probably rare. The end part was the more medium rare which I prefer. That part was e exceptionally good. Hubby said his was all really tasty. This is a restaurant where you have to pay extra for your vegetables. This is a pet hate. At $34 for a main I think that it wouldn't be too hard to include a small portion of broccoli and cauli etc in the price. The wine was, i think, overpriced at $13 per glass.
Overall, a great restaurant but I think it's expensive
