This is between Taupo and Rotorua and I believe much better than the one on the outskirts of Rotorua itself, easy walking paths around the thermal lakes, the colours are amazing. The Geiser is separate and also the Mud Lakes are worth calling into see on the way in or out

Be on time at 10 am to discover the Lady Knox geyser (not located the same place as the main entrance)

Smells a lot and a lot of smoke around champagne pool not enabling you discover the whole color of the place.

However, it is great to have a walk (take 2/3 hours) in the park.

All the walks are not accessible for disabled or trolleys (because of stairs).

Great coffee and sandwiches at the café.

This is an amazing place which we loved. you get used to the smell as you go around. It was so fantastic to read all about the different areas and especially the big lake - was so incredible - you feel the heat coming off the rocks and ponds - highly recommend

Amazing scenery and good value for money. We spent about 3 hours there, including watching the geyser and walking around all the pools. I would recommend!

The lady geyser at the end of the road from the thermal place was good learnt some facts about the geyser.
The thermal place was a good walk couldn’t see the colours shown in the photos due to the smoke however there were a few nice areas but be prepared to smell some smells you haven’t smelt before.
