Visited here as part of a Discovery Tour. Our bus was met by s guide, Maya, who stayed with us during our entire visit. She was very good in anticipating our questions so she was providing answers before we could even ask. She gave us a wonderful introduction to the Maori culture, traditions and history as well as escorted us around the village and hot springs. The only problem was that we spent so much time learning about the Maori that we didn't have any time left to visit the gift shop. The welcoming ceremony should not be missed. The music, singing and dancing plus the huka was a display of how proud they are of their hertiage. Thanks Maya for a job well done

This is a must visit while visiting New Zealand. The scout guide was so knowlwdgebile and full of facts.
Had the full experience including the roast dinner cooked in a traditional hot spring oven. Finished off with the traditional Maori cultural performance from the village.

Wonderful evening and an enjoyable way to be immersed in the Maori culture. An easy, interactive and pleasurable way to learn something new about our "over the ditch" neighbours. Delicious traditionally prepared food and a great atmosphere. Well worth visiting. Only suggestion - that the gift shop remains open a little longer for guests to indulge.
