Best Chinese in Perth. Great service, great food. Amazing location and a million times better than Lotus.

My Mother has been looking forward to a good Chinese food meal for a long time. While visiting from interstate I ordered home delivered meals for two from Ocean Dragon. The portal is frustrating. When the food arrived it was very disappointing. Lacking flavour and texture. Even colour was beige. We both ate a small amount and threw the majority out. This annoys us as we hate to waste food.

We dined here as the Ocean Dragon was in our Entertainment Book, prior to the book I never knew it existed. So glad we found it! The food was hot and tasty, and extremely good value. We ordered the banquet for 3 people. It came with a starter of spring rolls and prawn crackers, followed by 3 mains, a large fried rice and topped off with a coffee. We ordered the beef in oyster sauce, honey chicken and sweet n sour pork. The beef was melt in your mouth, honey chicken tasty and not too sweet, and the pork moist and flavoursome. The wine list was good too, very reasonably priced. We had a bottle of Capel Vale Cab Merlot for $28. Very pleasing to see a number of WA/Margaret River wines on offer. The service was a touch slow which is why I didn't give 5 stars, but if you want great tasting Chinese food at a fantastic price and good wine/selection, I highly recommend you visit Ocean Dragon Chinese restaurant. Oh, and the sunset view over the ocean is fabulous too!

Delicious Chinese food! We ordered twice from this restaurant while staying in Scarborough and both times the food was delicious. The kung pao chicken, hokkien beef noodles and chicken and sweet corn soup were standouts. Even the fried rice was better than other Chinese restaurants, it wasn’t greasy or overly salty. Really delicious!
Our only issue with this restaurant is that it took a long time for our food to be delivered, via Uber eats as they combined our delivery with another order and that was dropped off first. We ended up waiting 70 minutes for our food both times, and the second time the food was no longer hot, we had to reheat in the microwave. I understand that combining orders is more efficient and cost effective but a bit annoying when you are waiting much longer than expected.

Had not been to the Ocean Dragon for many years, but had friends who wanted to go recently.
It has been refurbished since I was last there, much nicer, clean, light, open with good blinds to block the sun 'til it goes down.
The food is the main thing, and it was very good. We had a wide variety of dishes and they were all good.
Licensed but may BYO wine. Prices reasonable.
A good night and we shall return.
BTW the ocean view is not too shabby either!
