Really good food from starters to main and OMG desserts were AMAZING!! The service was 5 stars very efficient and friendly, i think his name was Charles. Very professional and knew his products. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go back with family and friends.

Pleasant welcome and seating. A glass of bubbly arrived quickly and specials explained. After aforementioned glass was cleared, no more service for 10 minutes so packed up and left and dined elsewhere. 2nd visit in last 2 weeks. GM and a guest were seated close by, maybe the focus was on that table? On walking out to pay bill, no question of why I was leaving after just one glass.

Garum is a spacious, airy restaurant that squeezes in a lot of tables. Efficient and friendly service from the welcome to departure. Wine by the glass @$13, poured at the table. Free sourdough chunky. Disappointment was the pasta, which arrived within minutes of ordering. I had the Bucatini which was (for me) undercooked, gluggy and bland. The serving was huge but there was nothing nice about it at all.

We popped in on a cold, rainy night in Perth and were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant takes up (and more) what was once the old Hibernian Hall built around 1902 by those clever Irish immigrants.
The restaurant was full and pretty noisy really. Perhaps some carefully placed acoustic treatments would help this.
Our table staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
Entree and starter portions were adequate and the wine list extensive and perhaps a little quirky. Piedmont reds were typically overpriced but this is true wherever fine Italian dining is found.
The mains were quite generous and the sides reasonable.
The octopus was tender and tasty and the veal was a standout.
We enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Went there with 2 other friends on a Thursday night. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is very nice and chic. The staff is very polite and friendly: huge thanks to Kayla and Lara our waitress who was a lot of fun and had heals of humor :)
The meals were a disappointment. If you are charging for more than $25 for a pasta dish you except something amazing. I had the carbonara and it was very dry and also did not come with parmesan (we had to ask though would be nice to have it with the dish considering the price). My friend had the lamb which was quite rare (asked for medium rare) and for desserts I had the donughts which were ok but again not amazing & my friend had the tiramisu which was a LOT of cream and not much else (we were explained it was a different tiramisu from some part of Italy...maybe mentioned it on the menu so people know what to except). Anyway for the price it would be a lot tastier :)
