Great service and communication experience. This is our second booking at 'the loft' and third stay overall with this accomodation group.

Really great place to stay
We had such a lovely time here!! It is small but perfectly formed. The use of space is seriously clever. It's a stylish place with everything you need. It was just perfect for our little family holiday. The little touches meant a lot. There was breakfast provisions and all the bathroom and cleaning products you would need. We LOVED staying here!! Thank you.

Frequent visitor to Melbourne but the first time we had stayed in this area. Loads of restuarants, cafes, quirky boutiques and shops all within a couple of minutes of the door. Two different tram services (11 & 96) at different ends of the street will take you to the city and beyond in minutes and for a good price, no need for the car in the busy Melbourne traffic.
Accommodation was very thoughtfully laid out and made great use of space. Location down a quite lane was perfect and private. Good attention to the little details throughout with quality fixtures, fiitings and comfy furniture for when you just want to stay in. If for some reason you would rather cook then have cuisine from all over the globe just out the door then the kitchen has everything you will need and the lovely little courtyard is a nice oasis.
We travelled with our 7 year old daughter who loved the staircase and had lots of adventures on them but for the less agile these might be a bit of a challenge. Wouldnt want to have anything heavy to have to take up them but for us not an issue. Perfect size for our small family and would easily absorb another young person or two.
We will be back as this is by far the nest mix of location, quality accommodation and price we have found, leaves the hotels for dead!

Home away from home
Great location, quiet, cosy and safe, while close to the edgy and interesting Fitzroy commercial zone. stylish and lovely homely feel, all the appliances, crockery, gadgets etc required to create a home away from home. So much better than a sterile hotel room. Owners are contactable and helpful with any minor issues that may arise.

Very comfortable and close to everything
We were able to walk everywhere, Botanical gardens, city, Carlton, Fitzroy... We even attended a local school fete which was great.
Each time we came back to the Loft we could relax, unwind and then go out again when we felt like it.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else
I have previously stayed with this accommodation group (@ thefitzgeorge) and again i was impressed.
The Loft is an easy walk to the restaurants of Brunswick street and the beautiful Edinburgh Gardens.
It's your little melbourne home away from home.
Katrina and Irene are wonderful.
We are already planning our return visit.
Thanks again

Lovely "Loft" - but actually a great 2-bedroom apartment-like setting
The Loft was lovely- nicely furnished, comfortable and attractive art on the walls. Quiet environment. Wonderful windows looking out on back courtyard. Many basic kitchen foodstuffs such as coffee, flour, sugar, etc provided. Fresh bread, butter and milk there on arrival. Just a block off Brunswick St. - great shops, neighborhood pubs, tram line - or take a stroll down Brunswick to Gertrude St for more "posh" shops. We would be very pleased to stay there again.

Cute, clean and comfortable
Staying at the Loft was a quintessential Melbourne experience - down a laneway and close to the city, but clean and quiet. Leaving artisan bread and butter for breakfast was a nice touch.

Cute and funky place to stay
I stayed at 'The Loft' with my daughter and we found it very well situated for transport and cafes/restaurants. It was also quiet, the beds and pillows very comfortable and the kitchen
extremely well equipped. I was particularly grateful for the inclusions in the pantry.
The only problem is the spiral staircase which made moving luggage difficult and would be challenging for an older person.
Outside of that, 'The Loft' is charming, very comfortable and well appointed.

This is a highly sought out area of Melbourne, enjoying being very close to the city and prime shopping and eating strips that are full of life and character, yet it is leafy and quiet.
