We stayed 4 nights. Excellent hotel. We got off the plane at Melbourne Airport. Took the airport shuttle to (I think it was the Spencer St Station) and walked from there to the hotel. This is do-able dragging a suitcase with you. Room was very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Lifts are very fast - we were on the 18th floor. Great location - the Spencer St outlet is opposite it, along with a Coles supermarket and there is a tram track down this street where you can get on or off. Also restaurants along this street. Staff are fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The hotel gym and pool are very good. I used both 3 out of the 4 days I was there. It is listed as a Fitness facility, which was how I missed it. it also does a very good continental breakfast but with limited cooked options (scrambled eggs and baled beans). One thing it does NOT have is a laundry. Also - there are 2 window coverings, the light venetians for privacy and the heavier blind to keep out the light when you are trying to sleep. I'd happily stay here again. Also very close to a car rental firm.

Room Tip: We were on the 18th floor facing a construction site. Did not here any building noises. The lifts are fast.

Nice stay at hotel. great location straight across from bus station. Tram stop around the corner. Bed was a little too soft for my liking but pillows were great. Great big shower. Not the greatest breakfast. Very basic with only fruit apples, hot food baked beans and eggs.

First up, the location is great. It's right across from the train station, and only a short walk or tram ride into the CBD. There are very few restaurants in walking distance, though - just the fast food at Spencer St Station.

The hotel itself is very basic. Reception staff are lovely and the rooms are nice enough, with clean facilities and well-kept bathroom amenities.

The biggest issue with this hotel is the breakfast. DO NOT PAY FOR IT FOR MORE THAN A DAY. It's the same offering every single morning: cereal, yoghurt (2 flavours only), toast, scrambled eggs and baked beans. The coffee is RUBBISH. There are basically no healthy options (although there IS a bowl of apples, I guess?) and it gets so bloody boring. I tried toast with vegemite and eggs just to mix things up a bit (surprisingly good, btw), and I noticed another guest brought her own avocado.

They also didn't have a bottle opener when we needed one because 'the last one was just given out'?? That was pretty annoying. There was also an issue with the lift while we were there which saw us traipsing down 13 flights of stairs. That was slightly inconvenient.

Overall it's a decent place to stay, clean and well looked after, and the staff are lovely. Be prepared for minor hitches and find an alternative for breakfast and you should have a lovely stay. :)

Pretty ok hotel for family / business. Used to be part of Best Western but found out that they weren't gonna be part of Best Western anymore. Rooms are big and clean. Good location in the Melbourne CBD. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Only downside was parking - $20 AUD per day even if you stay in the hotel. Only found out about this after I checked in. So do prepare to pay more if you are driving in Melbourne

Not the BEST hotel we have stayed in BUT GREAT value for money and very close to everything you want to be close to in Melbourne and the 'bonus' was that breakfast was included. An extension of the continental breakfast in that they also had scrambled eggs or baked beans available. The menu didn't vary at all but it was tasty and excellent for starting the day and of course you can eat as much as you wish which sustains you right through the day. Will certainly stay there again if in Melbourne and thanks to the staff who were very helpful in every capacity . . . . . . . . All you need is a clean comfortable room and you are almost there and with breakfast included and a high floor view (18th floor) your 100% done . . . . . . . Good on you Atlantis for being so competitive. Great value for money. Give it a go and you will be very happy . . . .
