The only good part of this place is the pool, the swim up bar and pool side service. EVERYTHING else about this place was terrible. Let’s start with no decent parking options.... no undercover and $15 for valet to park your car in the sun as unprotected as anyone else’s. The rooms are tired and need an update, the room service was quick but the food was gross. No breakfast, no cafe, and the casino lacks standards: if you have thongs on, you’re in! The room rates are excessive for the quality and standard of this 3 star “resort”. Would definitely recommend staying elsewhere.
At a time when tourism is limited you’d expect service to be better to encourage local travel.

Hi Paul - Thank you for taking some time to leave us a thorough review. While we're disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay, we do appreciate the honest feedback. We will just clarify thought that there is breakfast available via in room dining or dine in at Quarterdeck. We would like to know a little bit more about your experience on the property so we can improve for the future. Would you mind sending us an email with your best contact details to tsv.marketing@the-ville.com.au and we'll pass it on to the department manager to get in touch.

Cannot fault anything about this hotel! Swim up pool bar with reasonably priced cocktails and jugs, $15 valet parking, great views and multiple restaurants to choose from. #1 choice for accommodation in Townsville for sure!

Paid $299 for the night in the executive suite, floor 17. I was shocked there was no bottled water or even a jug of water. My partner was told to line up at the end of a massive cue to get into the quarterdeck at 8.30am in the morning just to get a bottle of water which he ended up leaving. A work colleague said she ordered a bottle of a water at 1.30am for room service. Cannot believe there was none in the bar fridge. The people in the room beside me was very noisey which led to a restless night. A little disappointed as I had High expectations, I was looking forward to a nice get away after treating myself. Unsure if I would stay again.

Hi tanb150 - Thanks so much for taking some time to leave us a review. We really appreciate the honest feedback and will be passing it along to the relevant department managers to take on board. With regards to the issue with water in the rooms, we're working on removing all single use plastics from the property which is why there is no bottle of water included in the room. We are just about to introduce some canned spring water into our rooms, so hopefully next time you visit us they will be there for you to enjoy.

We stayed one night and appreciated our upgrade. Check in was very professional. We had a large room and bathroom with a wonderful shower. A very comfortable bed and good air conditioning. We had an amazing view over the bay and the swimming pool. We had breakfast included in our booking but we were very disappointed. The person who served us was very impatient in explaining how it all worked. There was only one main meal that included a drink. Surely if a breakfast was included we thought that it should have included a cup of tea and table serve. This was a little disappointing and spoilt the breakfast.
We would stay again but not include breakfast.

The reception staff were rude the most important thing from their point of view was getting my credit card number and telling me they would put $50.00 through my card even though my night was to be a reward night no charge. I called in the afternoon before I went down to check on my booking details and still when check in came it was a shambles.
