We were a bit hesitant to go snorkeling as my wife isn't a swimmer. The folks at Reef Adventure Centre recomended Quicksilver because they have created a protected area to view the reef, with everything provided including floatation devices and have someone monitoring all the time ready to assist. Lycra suits also complimentary. If you aren't very fit but an okay swimmer, you can take a noodle to keep afloat too. They also offered scuba diving. Heard good reports. The location was in the outer bank so there is more to see. You have about 3 hours at the site.
The trip out was smooth. Staff were always available. Lots of upselling but not pressured. Lots of photos available for purchase. Lunch was served buffet style about when we arrived at the platform. The boat was about 50% capacity, so queue wasn't bad. Otherwise you are delayed getting out to snorkle waiting in line to feed.
The semi-submersible was great - we saw more of the reef and even turtles. You need to queue up or you'll miss out.
I'm sure there are better options for experienced scuba divers and snorklers, but for the inexperienced or cautious, Quicksilver is a great choice.
