The market was lovely and watching the sun go down on the beach was a great experience, lovely food stalls and entertainment stalls but the bus service stopped after 9 so we had to either walk back to the CBD or get a $15.00 taxi which was a shame

Parking is limited. The stalls are what you would expect, a mixture of food, trinkets, junk and tarot. Music is good. Access to the beach is easy. Can get very crowded and not really worth standing in a slow moving herd.

Simply another "must do at least once" when in Darwin. Its open on Thursday nights between May and October (dry season). I visited twice when in Darwin back in June as i wanted to see these markets and of course see the darwin sunset. Yes, it does get pretty crowded, but you can spend as much or as little time as you want. There are plenty of stalls, both food/drink and clothes/accessories to suit everyone's tastes. Some of the stall holders are also at Parap markets on the saturday morning - so on the second night I had to grab another mango lassi!

Plenty of food options including some great BBQ/asian options which was pretty good and reasonably priced. They even had a crocodile burger - I did not want to try this though. There is even some entertainment, so you can stop for a break, have a bite to eat and drink while having a rest. Of course, stay for the amazing sunset on the beach right there too!

Everything is pretty casual in Darwin including these markets and will likely to go again if when I get back to Darwin.

The obvious attraction is the amazing sunset.
However there are lots of other things to see - the Raw Didge busking performance displays a very talented drummer and didgeridoo player with a modern twist; other musical performances; many food stalls; local indigenous Artwork and other things for sale.
Lots of parking but get in early.
Well organised market.

Crowded, average quality overpriced food and difficult to find parking unless you are very early. Salvaging factor was the mandatory good Darwin sunset.
