That sinking feeling when you bring 16 people to a restaurant booked 10 days ago and they’re not ready for you.
Starters for 5 people delivered and cleared but no sight of anyone else’s.
Champagne ordered and a half hour passes before you chase to be told they don’t have that in stock.
Delivering dishes announcing it as vegetarian when in fact it’s chicken.
Poppadoms that simply never appear.
All whilst a steady flow of Uber Eat bags leave the restaurant and accepting walk ins.
2 waitresses serving the floor trying their hardest but it’s not their fault.
Still waiting for mains.
You just know the bills going to be a fun conversation.
Sorry mate your leaving night was as stressful as it was!
And then the mains come: spicy comes as mild, mild comes as spicy!
Sad thing is the foods great! (Even if it’s not what what you ordered)
Were they just caught out or is this the norm?
Either way mates last night in Sydney hasn’t gone to plan.
