Easily accessible from Central Sydney via bus, about half an hour. Nice mural and rocks at the north end, and the start of the coastal walk to Coogee at the south. It’s an iconic beach, must do when in Sydney but no nicer then any of the other beaches.

Wide sand and just a beautiful place, worth spending a day when the weather is calm. The water seemed to be shallow for a fair amount and the waves not too crazy, which allowed for some fun water time

Please avoid going to Bondi Beach during any Australia public holiday unless you want to feel like a refugee going into and out of the beach. Everyone in the bus stop try to get into the bus like a rugby game, really chaos, is this really Australia? Also to take note for budget travelers is bring your own water bottle, all convenient store in Bondi Beach do not have any price tag for their drinks on display, let me reveal, it’s A$4.00 for a house brand 600ml mineral water (other brand will cost more) and A$4.00 any soft drinks. Food prices are reasonable but very crowded, prepare to wait and also not enough tables and chairs to accommodate all diners.

If travelling from the city, catch the train to Bondi Junction and the the coach, which links with it to Bondi Beach.
The day we got there it was overcast and not so many about and In the water. Nice to see and to have been to.
Mainly for the youngsters, a surfers paradise.

Yes it’s busy & is an iconic place, synonymous with surfers but you can’t come to Sydney & not visit, plenty of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, hire places & parking, so easy to get to on foot, by coach, bus or train, can understand why some love it, some don’t, when we visited it was very busy being Easter Monday but had a fabulous vibe, you can tell we loved it!
