Great walk, guided pathway & steps. Lots of signange & information about the area, wildlife etc. You can walk over & down the other side if energetic enough. Great views all around. Bit blustery & cool when we visited but didn't dampen the spirit or deplete the view.

This walk to Muttonbird Island is absolutely worth it. There are well laid out walking paths, lookout platforms, seats and signage along the way explaining everything about the whales and muttonbirds. The views are spectacular. There were so many whales passing by that I felt like I was receiving a free whale watching tour. A wonderful, free activity for the whole family.

This walk is beautifully laid out with informational signage about traditional significance and the biology and ecology of the muttonbirds. Moreover, this walk offers some of the most incredible views of the Coffs coastline.

It is very steep on various occasions so make sure you’re comfortable with the inclines. However, the lookout over the water at the end of the walk is worth the effort, especially when the whales are jumping!

I last visited Muttonbird Island about 25 years ago, and I'm very pleased to say that I don't believe it's changed much in that time. It was a relatively easy, very pleasant walk from the marina to the island and up a paved path to the top of the island where the views are stunning. Sunset is definitely the time to visit! Whale watching is also a given at the right time of year.
