I travel for work and this hotel provides a shift away from the stereotypical 5 star. It is larger but quiet and respectful with an air of individuality without being glitzy and intrusive. Very pleasant and one of the few I would return to for a leisure stay.

Well located to my office.
Warm open fireplace in hotel lobby,
Beautiful rooms and common areas recently renovated.
Food is amazing and recommends paired wine (available by the glass). Comfortable atmosphere when eating alone in restaurant.

Nice quiet location close to Lake Burley Griffin, Manuka area and the National Gallery. Room was clean and good size with a view to the courtyard but windows could not be opened so no natural airflow. Coffee capsule machine in the room was nice. Restaurant was fully booked inside so we had to eat in a cold alcove even though it was quite early. Lots of tables had reserved on them but were vacant during our meal. Breakfast was disorganised and not value for money with no hot water, burnt, cold croissants and toaster and coffee machines that guests didn't know how to use and staff weren't available to help. Would stay again but would find other dining options.

This is a comfortable, quiet and private hotel. It's peaceful and the rooms are lovely. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The bar / lobby area is also nice to hang out in! The decor is very calming and the location is quiet, but close to the city.

Quaint older hotel with a nice feel. Comfortable and well located. If driving there, be aware that parking space is a real constraint. Walkable to many of the venues in parliamentary/cultural precinct.
