We drove to Canberra to see the Tom Roberts exhibition, so local public transport was not an issue.
The hotel is one I used to use frequently as my base when going to Canberra for business trips prior to my retirement & we found it to still offer excellent value, service & facilities at a relatively low cost compared with other equivalent hotels in Canberra. The rooms are spacious & very well equipped with large H.D. television, free wi fi, very comfortable beds, air conditioning & plenty of cupboard space. The hotel has a gym, swimming pool & under cover parking all inclusive in the tariff which is most competitive when compared with other 4 star hotels which charge extra for parking, often in the open. The location is very conveniently located to access the most important Canberra places of interest such as the War Memorial museum, National Art & Portrait Galleries, National Mint, both the old & new Parliament Houses, Mount Stromlo Observatory & National University which also houses many interesting exhibits. It is also very convenient to many of the suburbs & locations such as Kingston, Manuka & Dixon, where a good variety of quality restaurants, with free parking nearby can be found.More
