We booked montigo resort for family break as only 35 mins by ferry from Singapore so easy to travel with small kids. We booked the 4 bedroom residence and loved it . We each had our own sleeping pavilion with main pavilion for dining , plus great pool for the kids . As it was easter the resort was full so we spent most of our time in the villa . They do offer butler services but we did not utilise them. Kids also enjoyed the family pool . Staff were accommodating and did well to assist given resort was full . Loved our mini break and loved looking across the water to see Singapore in the distance . You can even make out marina bay sands from our villa !

Service staff were very warm, friendly and helpful at check in.
The villa was extremely spacious with a swimming pool and sufficient bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The place felt luxurious and the beds were really comfortable. The pool had a nice view of Singapore. Toiletries were provided for.
Rooftop was a little not too well-maintained and a little dirty but I guess it's inevitable since it's open air.
Huge buffet breakfast selection, but really crowded and we had to queue for 30mins in the sun before getting a table.
Buggy service was really slow (had to call at least twice each time) and eventually we gave up and walked instead, much faster that way. Might've been busy season, idk.
We tried to cook up some snacks in the kitchen and realised oil, basic seasonings and some necessary cooking utensils were not provided for. We called for room service to send them up but after waiting for a while, we gave up and McGyver'd.
Had drinks at the bar in the evening and the view was not bad, the atmosphere was chill.
It was just a short weekend getaway and there were hiccups here and there but not a huge deal breaker. A little pricey but I guess I wouldn't mind visiting again if with a group of friends (to share the cost!).

Wow ! What a fabulous location and customer service experience ! The villa is bigger than our house ! But who cares ! The facilities were great and in context with a 4/5 star hotel, in a hot & humid climate, some minor cosmetic repairs were obvious (don't let this distract you) - because the customer service and staff passion is in the 5-6 star category. There were some little touches that often get missed which make the difference. My wife is coeliac, and as such ensuring proper food preparation makes the difference between a relaxed holiday vs doctor visits, makes a huge difference to the experience. Well, the chef Yuli, Neerang and team were "on-the-ball" for every meal, including the in villa BBQ which included marinating the various dishes in advance. I really can't praise these guys enough, bizarrely we've stayed in 6 star western hotels who just fail at this point. To top it off we enjoyed our 6 year anniversary and the team did a surprise GF/DF cake which was amazing and provided a great memento on check out.

Will have to go back soon !

Was greeted by friendly staffs of the resort. they were friendly and very approachable and helpful throughout my entire stay in the resort. Had a studio villa overlooking the sea. The villa was well maintained even with the ongoing construction works. The buggy service in house dining services were prompt. a Had a good breakfast spread.

Room tip: complete privacy when accessing the open private pool

It was quite a last minute booking in fact and we have gotten ourselves an expensive package. Reservation staffs were friendly and accommodative (also thanked to Singapore Montigo office staff quick response).

We have booked ourselves an impressive three bedroom residence. Montigo resort is not as far away from Batam centre terminal as we thought but due to recent Good Friday crowd (14/04/17), we only managed to arrive at the resort in the evening and really did not have a chance to try out any other activity there except trying to indulge fully within our residence since next day extension was not available.

We were all very thankful for our super Butler, Ramadhan for taking good care of us during our stay there.
