Onida cabin was wonderful. Full of charm and all your basic needs covered. Set in a fantastic location beside Loch Awe. Kids and dogs loved the forest. Paddelling and fishing in the loch. Day trips to Oban and to Mull by ferry. It was good not to have 3 or 4g and really get away from it all. We were lucky weather fine/lovely for most of our stay.
Drive along the single track road that takes you to Dalavich and the cabin from the 'A' road to Oban and the Cabin took on average 30 minutes. Although we were not in a hurry, then a further 20 minutes to Oban on the 'A' road. Local restaurant in community centre was great, food fantastic at reasonable prices.
We all had a lovel stay in a great cabin.
We rented an Onida cabin over Hogmanay and it was great. I believe our cabin number was 21a and from the front of the cabin and one you look out over the loch. The cabin has a large balcony which would be great in summer, looking out over a huge field (and the loch to your left). Everything was well furnished and worked properly. You come in to the living room / Ktichen which has a large dining table / chairs, 2 seats and 2 s-seater sofa's, coffee table and a log burner. There is also a ladder leading to a (large) bedroom with 2 single beds. Also on the ground floor are 2 bedrooms (a double bed and a small double bed with a single bed (bunk bed) and the bathroom (bath with shower and toilet...pretty spacious). We had a great time here and would definitely go back. The park itself has several path leading out to the "woods" so you can go for plenty of walks. A wee cafe/shop has most of the things you would want and there also is a community centre. Everything you need really.
