Had an amazing time staying in Shuna Cabin! We were lucky that the weather was warm and sunny for a change, but even if it wasn't this cabin and Dalavich would still have been a great place to stay.
The cabin itself is clean and private, as it the hot tub. Near to the cabin are walks through the woodland the down to the loch edge. The village Dalavich has a local store that serves food as well as all the necessities that you might need. We had an evening meal in the local pub which was satisfying and a decent price.
Would definitely come and stay again!
The cabin was wonderful and way exceeded my expectations. The photos were good but the reality was even better: a clean, crisp, fresh log cabin in an out of the way location in the woods. There are other cabins in the vicinity but it feels secluded. The large glass windows made it feel like you really were in the woods. The hot tub was fantastic and much appreciated. The cabin was cosy and the log-burning stove was great. The owner John was really friendly and all communications were prompt and helpful. In short I cannot recommend this cabin enough.
Just returned from four nights at shuna
The cabin is fantastic and the hot rub brilliant
HOW disgusting is the road to get there was worried a spring would go in my van
Went for a drink in the social club last night and they where so proud of their new hydro and talking about how they shall spend the profits my advice get the dirt track Rd full of potholes fixed as I wouldn't recommend anyone travels to davallich unless by boat or helicopter
BUT to summerise if you fancy going to davallich this is the cabin for you
We had a lovely long weekend with kids and dogs. Great for long walks, fishing, hire a boat or just watching beautiful sun sets with a glass of vino from the hot tub!
There is a lodge style bar and restaurant on site with a small shop in the village.
We watched the rugby in the bar, where there is a pool table and log fire, while the kids played in the large games room.
The cabin has everything you need except towels which you are advised to bring, I would also recommend doing a food shop en route and taking a bag of logs for the fire if you are staying for more than a few days. Once you are there you will not want to leave!
It is very relaxed and friendly and we will be going back with more of the family.
