We stayed at Casa Rebecca for a week, and it just wasn't enough! Being up in the hills was a quite staggering experience. The whitewashed villages hanging on the hillsides, the deep green woods, running rivers where you can cool off in that soo fresh water. We went walking for miles, chatted to the friendly villagers, swam in the nearby pool or the river, or sat looking at the sunset after picking a lemon for that G&T from the tree in the garden, . Best trip locally was a visit to Ronda to see the oldest bullring, but you are also not far from Gibraltar if you fancy a day out and a bit of history. Casa Rebecca, up in the hills, and maybe just that wee bit closer to heaven?

We were two couples who spent a lovely week at Casa Rebecca in November. The weather was glorious sunshine every day which allowed us to spend a lot of time on the terrace with such wonderful views. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed walks and drives around the area, especially a day trip to Ronda. We also made use of the tennis racquets to play on the free village court. We had several barbecues and enjoyed an excellent meal at the restaurant in the village.
We booked Casa Rebecca for a week in December to spend some time with my brothers family and we did very well doing so! Casa Rebecca is comfortable & comforting and beautifully situated at the top of the pretty white village of Jubrique with incredible views of the village below and the green and lush mountains around it. We just couldn´t stop looking! And the good thing is that you can enjoy the view from almost any part of the house; while preparing breakfast in the (very well equipped and large) kitchen, or relaxing with sundowners on the (huge!) terraces, you can´t escape the views. You can really unwind here, we had some great walks in the surrounding forests and visited nearby Gaucin with its castle and the "art village" Genalguacil. During our stay we also had some rainy days, but these we spent playing games, watching movies and reading books (games, dvd´s and books available for use) in front of the cosy woodburner. And, of course, we visited the local bars for tapas and drinks, luckily all at walking distance. Okay, it may take some time to reach Jubrique from Estepona or Ronda, the closest towns of importance around, but the roads are in good condition and must belong on the list of sceniest roads in Andalusia; pine forests, rugged mountain peaks, small wild waterfalls, picturesque white villages, chestnuts and corkoaks, and one time we even spotted a group of ibex crossing the road!
After 10 fabulous days at the very comfortable Casa Rebecca last May we came home fitter and stronger than before we went! The house is in a super position looking down at Jubrique and across to the mountains nearby. The atmosphere is exhilarating and the views from the balcony amazing. From sunrise to sunset a moving panorama in which to relax and be inspired. We enjoyed many really good circular walks, all starting from CB and ranging from two to eight miles long. The village has a few shops and a great restaurant with a good range of food and wines at reasonable prices. This was a holiday to remember.
This was our first visit to Casa Rebecca and from the moment we left the coastal strip it felt like a journey into real Spain. The winding mountainous road only served to heighten our expectation and we were not disappointed. The house is set in the most beautiful, authentic, Spanish village and has a stunning view of the roof tops to the mountains beyond, best appreciated in the evening from the top terrace with tapas and a gin and tonic. The house itself is spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable and could easily sleep ten people without feeling crowded.
Highlights of our stay were swimming in the river, a beautiful walk to nearby Genalguacil, a day trip to Rhonda and relaxing by the village pool.
The restaurant in the village is highly recommended and we had two lovely evenings out during our week.
It was one of the most relaxing holidays and we have already planned our return trip.
