Roadside Cafe between York and the coast, with parking for cars, motorcycles, and cycles. Has a honest no frills and very clean interior. A good range of drinks, snacks and main meals are offered, portion sizes are generous and quality is good hearing in mind the very keen prices. Service is very friendly and welcoming, but not very fast when busy.

Not a busy 9.30am frosty morning. 3 people in the cafe. I ordered a full English with toast and tea (£6.50) it was served within 5mins of ordering. Couldnt fault it at all, although I’m sure it would have tasted a little better if it was (£5.00) keeping the public happy as always, great place to stop if your on route.

Thank Darticus

Called in for a light snack around lunch time.It is popular with Bikers, there were four there when we went.the food is wholesome home made grub.I had Tomato and Basil soup.Nice, warming as it was a chilly day.Cup of tea and piece of cake.Nice little stop on route.

The prices of the food and drink were so reasonable and the staff so friendly and efficient. When we arrived at the cafe, a lot of bikers were enjoying their breakfast, so obviously their recommendation tells the whole story. Our rambling club definitely enjoyed our treats at the cafe with the reasonably prices of the food and drink plus the excellent service provided by the staff, PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, THANK YOU for taking care of our group

Above all other considerations this place attracts a friendly bunch, with no identifiable cliques; from ultra-sport lads, tourers and even a chap on a no lights 1920's Norton. In twenty years of visiting I have always seen bikers at their best, as did my granddaughter recently on her first ever ride out as a pillion. She likes my TDM900A (she said), but I know she really wants Mike and Spud's BMW RR1000s.

The food is hearty, the tea spot on and the banter great (reasonable language) and the toilets are clean. Parking is excellent, with easy access from the highway, and the surface is good tarmac, so no tumbles there (unlike Fimber!).

The local police pop in now and again but if you're open to review and advice (no illegal plates!) we all get on, as bikers can, even with the odd couples who arrive in their cars to "see the bikes". Small children, I think, would not be welcomed here because of safety issues, but interested young people are.

Get yourself there and have a Chat!
