“Gorgeous, peaceful place.”
Reviewed 18 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We are home and miss the quiet and the cowbells already! This is the place to stay if you want to experience the quieter side of Spain, the small villages, the summer festivals, the gorgeous countryside, mountains, and northern coastline, the delicious food and cider, and of course, amazing hikes and other outdoor activities. Barbra and Carlos were so welcoming and helpful and kind. We would love to return!

“Mrs”
Reviewed 11 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My husband and I stayed here for just under one week and loved everything about it. The accommodation is very stylish and comfortable and our hosts Barbra and Carlos were very nice, going above and beyond to make our stay special. Jascal and Berodia is a very tranquil place and well situated for exploring the delights of the Picos De Europa national park. Jascal is also situated within walking distance of a bar in the neighbouring village which makes for a nice evening stroll. Thank you Barbra and Carlos - we loved this little patch of paradise!

“Fantastic cottage in the Picos!!”
Reviewed 9 October 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed here three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage feels old but it new and beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The patio faces the mountains to the west so you can enjoy the great sunsets. As the drive to the cottage is on a narrow unlighted lane we opted to spend the day out and about having lunch at one of the nearby restaurants and having dinner on the patio in the evening. It would be shame to miss the sunsets so it was no disadvantage and a local grocery provided wonderful food for our dinners. In fact, it was the best and most relaxing thing to do. Barbra and Carlos are wonderful hosts and Barbra is a cheese expert so visiting with her over a glass of wine and cider and Cabrales cheese was a highlight of our stay. Highly recommended. If you go be sure to do the Sidra and Quesos tour which Barbra has the information for. It is a wonderful outing, great food, cider and cheese. Visiting the cheese cave was fascinating.

We loved our stay here. It's very tucked away and the views are stunning. It's also so peaceful, with just the sound of birds, cow bells and the river running through the valley. It was magical. We stayed in Luna which was very spacious and welcoming.

Barbra was super helpful in so many ways. We will return.

This is an outstanding location for a beautifully appointed property. We stayed in Casa Aire which is a one bedroomed apartment with ample room for a couple and the most excellent views of the Picos . The property is well modernised, the only quirk being the time it takes the hot water to run. It comes eventually! Barbra is a thoughtful and caring hostess. The area is just wonderful for touring or walking. Great restaurants abound although you do have to descend the windy road to the valley to get to them. Hence we tended to eat out at lunchtime. Barbra says she can arrange a taxi for nighttime forays but we didn't test this.
