“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 8 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Very comfortable. Spacious for a 2 bedroomed cottage and very well-equipped. There are fantastic views from the cottage itself and it is a short walk from Lathkil dale, which is beautiful. The garden is great for BBQs and the pub is a few doors down. The owners were very helpful. The perfect spot!

“Lovely cottage, beautiful location”
Reviewed 2 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Comfortable, spacious and scrupulously clean cottage with a glorious view over Lathkil Dale. Most of our waking hours in the cottage were spent in the conservatory, lapping up that view. Over Haddon is a very peaceful village, and there are some lovely walks right on the doorstep. The Lathkil Hotel is about 50 yds from the cottage, serves good food and has a nice friendly bar. There is no shop, but Bakewell is very close.

“Stunning location and friendly village”
Reviewed 19 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This is a lovely cottage spread over 3 floors. The main living area is on the ground floor and has stunning view overlooking Lathkill Dale. My wife spent most breakfast telling us which field the cows were in. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean with all the amenities that you could require. There is walking from the property and it is an ideal base to explore the Peak District. We travelled with a 5 and 8 year old and they really enjoyed the property.

“Gorgeous location and well thought out.”
Reviewed 15 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

There was very little that you could fault with this lovely little cottage. It was perfectly clean and there were little touches that made such a difference. The location was gorgeous and very well placed to get to places of interest and convenience.
It is quite a challenging cottage to manage with small children e.g. chemicals in the kitchen cupboards but no safety catches, stairs that can't have gates. However, this is relatively minor and wouldn't prevent a return visit - we are looking forward to rebooking in due course!

“Wow!”

My partner and I got married in Bakewell at the beginning of our stay, and had the cottage booked for the entire week following (which was Christmas week). There was ourselves and our 3 children (9, 3 and 2) and we all loved it! We were so sad to leave, as everything was just so lovely! The views are amazing, the log fire was constantly roaring, and the owner Karin, had thought of everything. On the days it snowed us in, lol, we had board games, films and books to read, and our kids loved the big, deep bath! The main bedroom had the biggest bed in ever, and we can't wait to come again! To top it off, the boxing day 7 inch snow made it perfect. We ARE coming back!! :)
