My family and I stayed for a week, though we all wish it could have been longer.
The house was beautiful and very spacious, stocked with everything you could possibly need.
The mountains were stunning, peaceful and idilic.
Christine couldn't have been more helpful, emailing us the best route from the airport and all the recommended sights.
We will be back ....
A very discreet gateway on the corner of a single track mountain road led us to this gorgeous house, Can Benet. We wanted to do some cycling in the area and Christine the owner, had given us some great road cycling routes with tips for places to stop for coffee and lunch. The house was immaculately presented and well equipped. The house sits high on a mound, below runs a river where the water gurgles over large stones and forms a shallow pool. Further up the hill, a 10 minute walk takes you to a beautiful waterfall with a large swimming area. Stunning!
We really enjoyed every minute of our time at Can Benet and would thoroughly recommend it.
We stayed in Can Benet for one week with our four boys (aged 11-19) and a teenage friend..
It met all our expectations. It is in a very peaceful and secluded spot. The surrounding mountain scenery is beautiful and the river running along the bottom of the property with a small plunge pool and several plunge pools nearby made our stay especially memorable. We enjoyed varied walks straight from the house, we saw myriad butterflies, enjoyed sampling local produce and exploring nearby historic sites. The house was very well equipped including flotation devices, games (board games and badminton) and the kitchen was far better kitted-out than most holiday homes. All our interactions with the owners were most helpful. I would recommend this venue for those wanting to enjoy time away from a busy lifestyle but with plenty for teenagers of all ages to enjoy.

Arrived in early August to a little piece of paradise! After a hectic year of work for both myself and husband, this was like a perfect tonic. Set totally secluded in the Catalan hills, a styeZm Tj the left, river bordering I've boundary, this vast plot is accessed by a very discreet hate and driveway afte a tiny bridge. Two teenagers in tow, some persuading needed about lack of Internet, basic satellite (Sky news) but by 2nd night we had a 16 year old playing badminton, cards, swimming in the river pool, hiking... need I say more? The walk to the deep pool is well worth it - like a film set for some movie when you find it! About 10 mins walk. The house is kept to a very high standard, absolutely everything has been thought of. (Badminton court & rackets, blue up boat, hiking equipment, rucksacks, first aid kit, beach towels, a gazebo, bbq, fishing nets, hairdryer and hair straightener to name just a few!) Christine was so attentive and prompt with all questions emailed, even when we were there. A thorough "information pack" is emailed prior to arrival, also available in the house. SO nice to arrive and not have to pay a cleaning fee/ service charge/ swimming hats/ tourist tax - we've been hit with everything in other places! And so thoughtful to just have wash powder, toilet paper etc there - really helped greatly in settling us in. (Thank you for the cava & milk also!)
It is a drive to anywhere, which wouldn't suit everyone, but was simple perfection for us. It's about 30 mins to a very good supermarket / town (Ripoll). I will remember our nights under the Catalan stars in TOTAL silence for many months and years to come. (We've promised each other that we'll come back!)
