“Cosy and child-friendly in a great location.”
Reviewed 3 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Location was perfect - peaceful and safe with a kids playground just across the road. A lovely 15min walk alongside and across the Tweed to get to Melrose. Accommodation was wonderful with everything we needed and the cosy open fire was a real bonus when the wind and snow meant we returned from walks soaked and cold. We'd love to go back.......

Great place to stay. The house itself had everything you could possibly need for a family trip,. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Perfect house in a perfect location. Will definitely be booking again.

“"Relaxing Easter Break With Friends"”
Reviewed 19 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Found Tweed Cottage to be the perfect base for exploring Melrose and the Scottish Borders. A cosy, clean and comfortable property set in the quiet, peaceful village of Gattonside. Three good sized bedrooms, well appointed kitchen with cosy living room and open log fire.

Lovely scenic riverside walks close by along the banks of the River Tweed. A ten minute walk from the cottage takes you into Melrose via the pedestrian suspension bridge where a number of shops, pubs and restaurants can be found.

Value for money, highly recommended.

“Comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 18 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

A well presented cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Loved the 8 burner hob. Could have done with a plunger to unblock the toilet (only once - had to improvise, don't ask. Definitely a man's job). Very good train service to Edinburgh from nearby Tweedbank. £11.10 return off peak and free parking.
