Spoilt location and cabin by double booking at full price. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when a couple show up for a night away to share our cabin. No apologies from the establishment, no partial refund- and a long way from anywhere else to stay.
Disgusting treatment.
And we haven’t even mentioned how hard it was to organise dinner.
So if you are going to pay huge sums and want the cabin to yourself be sure to book all rooms!!
Won’t be recommending this place to any friends! Yes it’s beautiful but they should’ be clear about what they are selling!

Lofoten Links will offer you a once in a lifetime golfing experience! The course is absolutely amazing! The scenery will leave you speechless. With tight fairways and high risk/reward on most holes, Lofoten Links will challenge you on every stroke. Fairway is safe, but sometimes boring, take a chance for great reward - or almost a guaranteed lost ball in the rough. Hit it over the water or take the safe route? Spectacular mountain scenery on the front nine, and breathtaking ocean view on the back. Can you beat our 63 holes in 24 hours?

So, the husband golfed and I walked with him. I don't know who enjoyed it more. What an amazing place! There is beauty everywhere you look. The course runs with the North Sea, providing incredible views. The rough is definitely rough - good luck finding your ball! And an added bonus - we had goats walking with us for the first three holes! So cute with their bells clanging! The husband raved about the golf, and I say it's one of the best walks I've had! Truly amazing!

After having seen Lofoten links some 15 years ago I had the plan to get there and play the course. Then it was only 9 holes but since has grown to a real 18 hole most challenging golf course. It is so great that Scotland's Troon is in association with Lofoten links. Excellent fairways and true greens and like on any "grown up" link course: if you do not see your ball do not even try to look fo it. With friends I played two rounds. One during daytime and little wind and we managed. Two days later with a late evening tee time to play past midnight we experienced strong winds and consequently many lost balls.

For me it was as thrilling an experience as playing the Old Head of Kinsale a year ago.

If you have nice weather, it is worth spending 5 or so hours here! There are clubs to rent. We booked a package that included greens fees, club rentals, tees and balls for around 1200 NOK per person. It takes a while to play, mostly because you'll be searching for your ball quite a bit! The fairways are relatively narrow, but the water, rocks, and native plants absolutely kidnap any ball not in the fairway. The greens were a bit slow but in fabulous condition. The whole course is in top notch condition, and the scenery around each and every hole will blow your mind. Every hole is incredible! Don't bother renting a cart as they can't go everywhere and it seems like a pain. We walked no problem- it isn't terribly hilly. Bring plenty of golf balls! And just an FYI there are no bathrooms on the course and the 9th hole isn't anywhere near the clubhouse. I highly recommend this experience!!!!
