“Rodel Valley Log Cabin 2 - amazing!”
Reviewed 4 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

Stayed here with 2 dogs in June 2012. An absolute first class cabin with top quality fixtures and furnishings. Slendidly luxurious bathroom. Clean and cozy cabin, welcoming and friendly owners. Great to find such fantastic accommodation that accepts pets too. 10 out of 10. Several great beaches a short drive away which you are very likely to have to yourself!

“Book for here now! Wonderful stay with great facilities”
Reviewed 22 September 2011 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed here mid September in Cabin 1 with our dog. Both Stephen and Rebecca were very helpful with our booking and during our stay. The cabin is amazing! On arriving late at night the cabin was softly lit and warm with fresh flowers and some wine waiting for us.

Everything you need is in/outside the cabin, inside a great bathroom with sauna and jacuzzi bath, a lovely warm living room with wood burning stove as well as all the mod cons - dvd, tv, sky +, Ipod docking station and PC for your use as well as free wifi.

The kitchen is superbly equiped (dishwasher, washing machine etc)and we enjoyed making many meals in the kitchen. Rebecca asked us if we'd like any seafood and she sourced us huge scallops locally for a reasonable price.

The double bedroom has an excellent comfortable bed and was warm and relaxing. There is another bedroom with fantastic bunkbeds too as well as a 'secret cubby play hole' up near the top bunk - kids would love this!

You also have in the cabin a picnic set and board games as well as a whole host of local leaflets on whats available.

Outside you have a shed where you can keep your bikes or outdoor equipment, there is also a set of golf clubs you can use on the golf course where Rebecca and Stephen have membership. There is a whirly where you can hang your washing if you wish and there are two swings on a sandy baseplay area and a picnic bench/chairs.

Rodel itself is lovely, we enjoyed it with being pretty far down in South Harris, it's very quiet and relaxing. Lots of fantastic dog walking just on your front door if you don't necessarily want to get into the car and also Rodel Hotel where you can get excellent food is within walking distance as well as St Clements Church which is worth a visit.

We loved our stay here and would certainly recommend and return! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

“Luxury Facilities with homely touches”
Reviewed 26 May 2011 for a stay in May 2011

If you are looking for a romantic hide away, then Rodel Valley is ideal. The accomodation is spacious, beautifully presented and the luxury touches, including a sauna and jacuzzi, were fantastic. The hosts make you feel wonderfully at home - the bottle of wine and lovely homemade biscuits were a great touch. Our top tip is to order in the seafood takeaway from Croft 36 as it'll blow you away!

The only tiny draw back would be that the beautiful Harris beaches are about 20 minutes drive away but there are some lovely views about 10 minutes walk away from the accommodation.

Definately a great stay!
