Pleasantly surprised that the Trabucco lived up to its reviews. It was a really good hotel and I was quite surprised that it did not have three stars. The bedroom had a flat screen television, a working a.c., free wifi and a safe one did not have to pay. I had a front room which had a balcony and did suffer from some noise during the day as the hotel is on the main road.

The bathroom was well appointed with a good shower and like the bed room was spotlessly clean.

Downstairs there was a restaurant and bar. The breakfast was continental but with coffee, cakes, bread, toasting facilities and orange juice.

For a two star hotel is was most surprising that the hotel had a sun terrace and small swimming pool.

The location is good with the beach some 300 metres away, shops and restaurants nearby. Just outside the hotel are the bus stops to Murcia, Cartagena, Alicante and Torrevieja. The hotel is very close to Murcia airport and walked from the airport along a cycle path in forty minutes.

The hotel is great value for money and at thirty two euros a night for a double bedroom and balcony for sole use and including breakfast what more could you ask?

Fantastic location only 5 mins in a taxi from San Javier Airport. Taxi is about €8 each way. Fantastic location about 5 mins walk from the beach passing bars, restaurants and shops on the way. Supermarket is literally around the corner from the front entrance to the hotel. Hotel was immaculate, room cleaned every day fresh towels , shower gel provided, free safe, air conditioning in room, small fridge and a tv (although I don’t do tv on holidays so not sure what channels were on it). It does face the road but this was quiet during the night so no disturbance to sleep. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. All spoke very good English and could not do enough to help with any questions. Check in is not till 13:30 so just have your beach gear close to hand if you are arriving early. Food in the restaurant was lovely very good tapas. Fantastic tapas bars in the areas I’d recommend Idara

We stayed overnight for an early flight back to UK from Murcia. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Has a restaurant, but cannot comment on it, as we didn't use it. There is a fuel filling station opposite, which means returning the hire car "full" is easy.

Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly English speaking staff at check in. Free Parking within a hundred feet of the hotel. 5 minutes walk to various tapas bars and restaurants, pharmacies etc. Nice AstroTurf roof terrace with a large plunge pool and bar ( which is also very cheap for drinks , not your usual hotel prices. ) Breakfast is coffee, tea, fresh orange juice, toast, pastries, jams and cereals.

In your room you have at least a double bed if not that plus a single. Desk with chair, Aircon , ensuite shower and WC, decent size wardrobe, room safe and fridge. WiFi is strong and free. In the evening they serve various tapas dishes in the bar.

This is listed as a three star, which is right , but at this price it is simply excellent for what it is.

Just back from 2 weeks at the Trabuco on a bed & breakfast basis. I honestly cant find anything negative about this hotel. We had a clean, functional room with a terrace, constant hot water, comfy bed, fridge and a safe. The cleaners were in every day and done a excellent job with fresh towels daily & bedding regularly. This is probably the cleanest hotel we have stayed in, in Spain. Really close to airport, beach, shops and tapas bars.
The breakfast consists of bread, jam, cakes, tomatoes & the best coffee and orange juice.
There is a small rooftop terrace with a pool, but we didn't use it much as we wasn't in Murcia to sunbathe.
All the staff are friendly and helpful and most speak some English.
Will be back next time wer'e in Murcia.

Room tip: There's a fabulous chinese restaurant across the road by the garage. They do a set menu for just under 10 Euros.
