We had booked a 90min walking tour and came back extremely happy and satisfied. Our tour guide, Hermann was highly knowledgeable and also knew how to spot the animals. We were able to spot all the 3 main animals living in their natural habitat and it was indeed an awesome experience.
Would go again!!

I visited the park and the Grossglockner Hoch Alpenstrasse years ago, and I was astonished by its beauty. My wife and I returned this year, and I had the same reaction. The drive is reputed to be one of the best in the world. I haven't seen all the others, but I can easily believe this one belongs at the top of the list. It is truly magnificent!

Came here for only a day. We drove for 3 hours to get here and it was totally worth it. The water really is that colour, absolutely stunning!

Splendid alpine setting dotted with villages in the valleys. You will find more areas untouched by ski resorts with their cable cars and construction. Trails for all levels of experience are numerous. Lots of powerful waterfalls, srreams and rivers. Note that the lack of cable cars in most places means that access to glaciers is typically limited to those capable of strenuous climbs. If you wish to be able to easily gain altitude and hike at above 3000 meters try Otztal for example. Weather is typically unstable. The good thing about that is that even if a week of rain is predicted you may end up with many dry days at least morning to afternoon. You may also end up suffering near freezing howling winds and rain on a bad day. We actually saw fresh snow in August.... no way to plan ahead. Be ready with cold weather and waterproof clothing.

This national park has spectacular walking and climbing trails that are well sign posted and maintained. Walks take between one to five hours and longer for those wanting to stay in the different huts connecting the parks routes. Perfect for individuals who want to de stress and escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The only noise comes from the cow bells and birds.
