Elst is a village, that one would not expect to find such a good and vibrant restaurant. It can seat 600 and has a car park to match. Great for children as well as adults. It is a help yourself restaurant, eat and drink as much as you wish and payment is dependant on how long you spend there. The minimum charge is for one and a half hours with discounts for children and OAP's. It calls itself a "wok & live-cooking" restaurant. Quite simply you choose your ingredients and take it to the wok station for cooking, or to the live-cooking station and watch you meal being cooked in front of you. Additionally, you help yourself to starters from a wide selection, there is a sushi bar. The choice of desserts seems endless from an ice cream parlour to chocolate fountains and all things in between. Wine, Beer and soft drinks or squeeze your own orange juice are on a serve yourself basis. We can't wait to go back!

Family get-together on Easter Monday afternoon. All you can eat concept, normal validity two hours.

Starters, wok, sushi, teppan yaki, desserts etc. Very diverse, friendly and hard working staff.

Warm welcome by management and nice atmosphere. Can be busy so better make reservations

Highly recommended

We went with our family of four which includes two kids aged 6 and 9 years old. It is all you can eat. That kind of sets the expectations. Lots of choice in both starters, main and desserts. They also have freshly made sushi.
The great thing about this restaurant is the kids corner. They can bake cookies, do some creative activities (knutselen), watch children's tv and best of all they do face painting (for free!). The face painting is really good too - similar to the face painting they kids had done at disneyland paris and here it is included with the meal!
The kids have a corner with kid friendly food which includes cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. And they had two chocolate fountains.
It does get busy so you need to book your table. But even though it is busy you are still able to easily dish up your food and it does help to have the kids enjoy themselves while you get to sample something of everything.
We enjoyed it and will go back (the kids really want to go back too!)

This all-you-can-eat restaurant has been successful for many years for four basic reasons: (1) the quality of food/ingredients is relatively high; (2) the choice of food is very good (including Japanese sushi, wok, Chinese and Indonesian kitchen); (3) the price is very reasonable (EUR for adults) and (4) the good and friendly staff.

Downsides are the fact that it sometimes can feel as a little factory (the guests are so excited about the concept that they are not all very relaxed when getting their food) and that the restaurant certainly can not be considered cosy (tables are cramped).

All-in-all a good place for larger groups with children.

Note: make sure you reserve a table when eating there during the weekend (including Sunday)!
