We were part of a group staying here.
The food was very good. The service was excellent! The staff here are very attentive.
We really enjoyed our room which had a view to the back gardens and other separate buildings where there were other guests. The room was small but was very cozy. It had a picture window that was hinged in the middle so there was lots of air flow and fresh air available. With quiet and the trees outside our window it was like sleeping at a cottage.

We were fortunate to discover this location in the middle of Schouwen-Duiveland near Zierikzee. Family members have visited this location already a couple of times and convinced us to have a family reunion.

We came in early on a cold chilly day (-5° C) and were welcomed by the lady of the house. We were directed to our suite, which is in another building, back in the garden. Bummer! The building has not the same charming look & feel as the main building. It's the kind of bungalow buildings from the 70's. Nevertheless we entered a spacious suite with bedroom, bathroom and very large living with a view on the garden and a terras. Privacy is OK although not 100%. The interior was descent but outdated and could use an extreme make over, unless you want a vintage experience. Unfortunately we had a cold room. Personnel was kind to point out that they had some issues and did everything to increase the heat. Too little too late! Our late afternoon was "refreshing". The other family guests came in later and experienced the same chilling experience.

But we came for a nice dinner and boy oh boy we were satisfied with with we saw on the dishes, what we tasted and what we drunk. A culinary masterpiece with lobster as the main dish. Delicious, light with good wines om the wine chart and charming personnel.

So overall, I think we got a little bit unlucky with room, but it didn't spoil our stay.
Worth visiting when in the neighbourhood and excellent location to visit Zierikzee which is a lovely Dutch town.

We were looking for a relaxing and romantic week end away in Netherlands and we couldn't have chosen a better place!!
The Hostellerie is placed in a very picturesque small village - I would advise a walk around in the morning, as it's really cute (and small). It is about 20 minutes from the beach and 40 minutes from Middelburg. it is in the middle of beautiful nowhere dutch countryside.
The Hostellerie is very traditional, clean, and beautiful, hidden in a fantastic garden. The service is great, with the maitre and sous-maitre being excellent. They are friendly, super knowledgeable and very attentive.
We arrived a bit late, but they still offered us a great fish salad. The dinner the night after was stunning (thanks Chef!) and their wine list is pure quality.
I would definitely recommend it!

A small hotel in a small village with a staff that gives you the feeling to be at home. We had an excellent diner for a reasonable price. The breakfats, too had sufficient variety. The room was not luxurious, but ok. Ideal for a cycling tour. Also 2 golf course nearby.

We have chosen for the hotel several times and were always welcomed either in the hotel or the restaurant. The food quality was excellent even the six course meal was a litte much as I also had to help out my wife. The wine list is extensive and a choice is not easy to make.
The historic rooms above the restaurant are our favorite choice as the give you a feel like home.
Furthermore we like the quietness of the surroundings and the good location for tours by bike or car.
