We found this place on via michelin. As it was Good Friday and the place was opened we didn't even check reviews on TA. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the whole lunch, which was quite awkward. The lady serving was polite but distant/ indifferent. There was a mix-up with our order (not sure if because of my limited italian, as she didn't speak english) regarding the courses order. The vitello tonato was good, as were the mains (a pasta with ragu and octopus with potatoes), but fairly forgettable. There were no wines by the glass. There was also an incident with the dessert, as I ordered a tiramisu and got strawberries and cream instead. We even googled whether piedmontese tiramisu was different that the typical one but doesn't seem like it. And this time around there was no confusion with language as I pointed at the menu. All and all, I would definitely try other places nearby before going back to Al Borgo Antico.
