We, a large family group with ages ranging from 3 to 80, had a wonderful week staying in Baloubet, Cor de la Brière and Double Espoir. There was something for everyone. The younger ones loved visiting the horses and made good use of the games room and the swimming pool. Older members played tennis, cycled or walked along quiet lanes with verges full of wildflowers, played boules or sat in the sun on Baloubet’s balcony watching the swans on the lake. The kitchens are very well-equipped so cooking and eating were a pleasure. The living room of Double Espoir was easily large enough for our group of 22 to sit and eat together, and to entertain ourselves in the evening. Favourite excursions were to the castle in Falaise, to Bayeux and to the Chateau de Vendeurve, as well as to markets and the inevitable hypermarket. Our hosts, Ann and Tim, were most welcoming and helpful. All three gîtes are spacious, comfortable and maintained to a very high standard. I think we will return to Haras du Gazon. In particular, a week in the peace and comfort of Baloubet would be a wonderful restorative at any season of the year.
We spent a very happy May half term holiday at Double Espoir with an extended family group, including three children aged nine to 12. The gite was huge, comfortable and well-equipped, with plenty of space for everyone.
The children had a brilliant time, enjoying the swimming pool, games room and rambling grounds, as well as the friendly horses in the surrounding stables and fields. This left the adults with plenty of time to relax in peace!
The gardens are glorious; it feels rather like staying in a National Trust property.
And it's well placed for exploring the treasures of Normandy, from William the Conquerer's castle to Bayeaux and it's tapestry.
Friendly but unobtrusive hosts - perfect balance.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, it is quite lovely, and we hope to return.
We stayed at Haras du gazon en route to Brittany for 4 nights in July and our first thought on arrival was that we wished we were staying longer.
We travelled in a large group of friends with children age ranging from 14-8 years.
The setting is amazing with plenty to do for everyone. The kids particularly enjoyed the well equipped games room and swimming pool but loved the farm particularly with the horses in such close proximity.
Tim and Anne were very helpful. The welcome and information provided to guests for the local area were first rate (particularly the recommendations to visit the Normandy beaches with children.)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again for longer.

I searched for a long time for a gite that had a pool, tennis courts, a decent drive from the tunnel and wireless access - all of my expectations were surpassed with this site, it was truly wonderful.
We travelled with a teen and a five year old, and parents too - and there was something for everyone. From the National Trust esque gardens, the 20m covered pool, white fluffy towels, the beautiful horses outside your window, folders full of information, a kitchen kitted out for the most passionate of chefs and friendly hosts easily available but not intrusive.
The Double Espoir is huge, and each bedroom is en suite. The living area is spacious enough to never feel on top of the people you are with, which is great when holidaying with wider family. The location is in the countryside but close enough to towns and the big roads to easily have days out.
I would highly recommend it, thank you Annie and Tim for a fabulous week! Only downside was having to come home, I could have easily moved in.
